My dad died at 60 years old. That was 30 years ago. I turn 60 in 2 days. Heart issues run in the family. Over the last 30 years, medications and procedures have improved 10 fold. I was having all kinds of tests done to check me out. Sure enough, a MRi/CAT scan found my LAD artery is 70% clogged and I go in for an angioplasty/stent in 5 days. My only symptom is that I get out of breath doing mediocre labor and my resting pulse is always in the high 80's low 90's. I'm sure I would have had a "widowmaker" within the next 5 years.
