The part starting at 4:05 is breathtaking. Both the visuals and the acting are stunning. I initially came here because I love Darren Jacobs' voice and wanted to explore his work, but I ended up completely falling in love with this short film where he has almost no lines.

To this day, the debut album 'YES' is still one of my all-time favorites. Peter Banks guitar work & strong harmonies are a big part of my luv for the music and he laid the foundation for Howe & Rabin to emulate.

I guess since Steve Howe officially owns the name Yes, there is no chance that Peter will be included in the R&R HOF. Really sad, as Peter really helped establish the band. His work in early Yes is remarkable and I totally agree with him that the music from Time and a Word is much better without the orchestrations (listen to the BBC recordings). Props to John for mentioning Peter during the HOF induction.

The band were inducted a few years ago so any chance of that happening is gone, IMO. What did you think of the trailer?

Before there was Steve Howe there was Peter “The Mod Prog” Banks
@rickyman23077 ай бұрын
Pete Banks has been my icon since 1969 his playing with his jazz influence and rock, the use of the Fender swell pedal and the octave lead lines was so individual. Nobody else played like that in those early days. Together with the brilliant Chris Squire I have played like Pete Banks and the bass like Chris Squire for the last 55 years, those 1st two Yes albums were unique and the subsequent 3 Flash albums. Pete should have been in the Hall of Fame but we know sadly what happened there. In summary a remarkable guitarist up there with the likes of Chuck Loeb.

The Orginal Idea of CIRCA: ( Billy's and TK' Musical Creature), Was Billy, Tony, Alan and Peter. Was to be called FAMILY. Apparently Pete was not physically up to it. Would have been cool. Let his idea of YES music take that direction. Circa: Is awesome. But would have been so much more interesting with the old 60's psychedelic/Prog style of his.

Everyone being very gracious towards Peter and acknowledging his legacy. I must have missed the Steve Howe clip

Such a sad story of his life. I remember, Henry Potts site clicked on Peter . .he had died. Had no idea. No family. Fans were donating the money so he could be buried, at the same time Paul McCartney was worth 1 billion. And how he was found,working with Billy Sherwood, and failed to show up at the studio, so they went to his home. If not, how long before he was found. Damn....I see myself passing like this. Sad indeed.

Hope this is uploaded on KZbin so the largest audience possible can hear what a genius Peter Banks was.. Two Sides of Peter Banks and the work with Empire is so amazing.. I'm hoping there's more unreleased stuff from the 70s period (I'm an audiophile and can't tolerate engineer/production/composition after)

If we get enough support and donations to finish the film it will make it into distribution everywhere.

The fact that the original members did not give Peter Banks his rightfully EARNED accolades regarding the "Yes" HOF induction, and won't even fund anything to do with his legacy, is to show just how awful (as human beings) those other members of Yes truly are.

How can I help Bryant and the horses?
@wakranich3488 Жыл бұрын
I'm looking for something to do. I've owned two horses. One older mare ex-roper, barrel racer. She taught me how to Ride no complacency. My other one was an ex-racehorse 3yr old stallion. Sweet boy but no complacency w/him too. At 11 I started helping out at a horse farm bringing people out for trail rides. Liked to take different horses out to ride. People were way more difficult than the horses!!

Peter belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the rest of Yes... period. He helped start the band, he named the band, and his stage presence initially got them on the map.
@ericsakk1097 Жыл бұрын
Please. Everyone stop. Yes exponentially increased when Steve Howe entered the band. There was a noticeable, cataclysmic shift in the music of Yes that reached HOF notoriety due to the Yes album. Peter was a great, amazing guitarist who helped to start Yes. Thanks to Peter and all the best to his fans. But, please, HOF requires so much more than just musicianship. Yes would never achieved HOF status without Steve Howe. There is nothing to reclaim here. If you want to honor Peter Banks, then so be it. His talent is well deserving of notice on KZbin. I do not know of many guitarists who can hold a candle to his prowess. But. please, it is not possible to define an HOF moment given his musical status from that time period. This thread must stop.
