You cant keep them as slaves, you cant incorporate them into your society, they are something malicious, like nature itself is punishing the planet for human misbehaviour. White society is a ruined naturally, Asian society is not ruined naturally, but when you invite these other creatures into your boundary, they eat and pollute everything. They are not us, they are not psychics. They cannot succeed, because Mother didnt create them to succeed. She created them to punish us, for our greed, for our industrial attempt to overthrow her as Goddess and institute a false religion (Judeo-Christianity/Islam). Thats why the very tenets of those faiths bind us and enslave us to THEIR will!

It's important how the camera doesn't even bother to zoom onto the "three dimples", suggesting the ridiculousness of the argument isn't worth examining.

"Phrenology" refers to the theory that a person's traits and personality are determined by the shape and size of their skull. Like Calvin does here, phrenology was used to justify slavery and racialism. This scene takes place in 1859, Phrenology had largely lost all credibility by the 1840s.

You guys are all dumb af Steven wasn’t the main villain of django he was the side villain and Steven didn’t snitch on django out of honor for Calvin or tryna win himself favor he did it because Django’s the first black man on a horse that Steven had ever seen and he was mad that he had never been able too, it was pure spite that’s all it was and when he should’ve been mad at the system he was in, like most people in situations like this he blamed the individual he saw doing better than himself

this scene has some ASMR quality, even though Calvin knows he is being played with and they already know the extent of his aptitude of barbarism and insanity. He is like Ghengis Khan, Atilla the Hun, and Benito Mussolini all rolled into one.

@HeatyFrog
@HeatyFrog 10 ай бұрын
Neither. He's talking about phrenology, which was actually studied as a discipline in the 19th century. It argued that people had indentations on their skull depending on which parts of their brain they used the most (because those parts would flex like muscles and push against the skull) and was often cited in justifications of race supremacy. With what we now know about neuroscience and the anatomy of the brain it's clear that phrenology was nonsense

Analyzing evil and racism in this movie is something else, it never crossed his mind that maybe old Ben didn't used the razor to slit his daddy's throat in fear of the consequences and that all slaves in candyland and surrounding areas will be slaughtered in the most horrific way instead he justifies it by thinking that colored people are more prone to be subservient because is a genetic thing.

This scene perfectly illustrates the major flaw that was Calvin’s undoing - he misunderstood his opponents; he believed himself to be superior to Blacks and in so doing didn’t count on Django’s cunning, and he assumed that because Schulz was white, he was preprogrammed to act logically at all times. Just another way racism is messed up - it deconstructs complex human beings into one-dimensional archetypes.

To be fair, the concept of superior race was a sound scientific concept during the colonial times. Slavery was always there, but the superior race theory made Africans a prime canditate. Ironicaly, it was the religious instritution that started the first anti slavary movements with lead to British Empire banning slavary in 1804.
