Do you have any skeleton clocks that we can wind and not have a battery.

no audio. Previous vid for the same clock was just a music track. Cant hear this one, especially to look for louder, periodic tocs. Got to know if it's a sleeper or not.

Thank you for the awesome clock! It was a great purchase! For context, I have had some problems with my personal email and could not recieve the files a couple of months ago, and forgot about it. A couple of days ago I contacted David and all that has been promptly solved.

Please for all future customers if you do not hear anything from me within a few days please check your spam folder, I sent 3 emails from 3 seperate accounts never knowing whether the customer has received them or not. Let's hope this method reaches the customer.

I assume by inertia, you actually mean "friction". As inertia is energy that is stored in a moving object.

That’s really cool! You don’t see too many wooden clocks with a remontoire (I hope I spelled that right) mechanism! That, in case you’re confused, is the name for the mechanism at the top, which is used in full-size tower clocks when the hands are too large/heavy for the clock weight to move them on its own. Clocks with this mechanism still have an escapement mechanism as well, but the escapement isn’t connected to the hands directly. Instead, it triggers the remontoire once every 30 seconds (or every minute in this case), which turns by a set amount of degrees, moving the hands forward by either 30 seconds or a minute each time. It also reduces the wear and tear on the escape wheel, increasing the time it will function for before repairs are needed. Therefore, if you can deal with a loud CLAP every minute, then a clock like this is almost _always_ better than one without a remontoire, in terms of accuracy and longevity.

6:36 I love it, counterbalanced pendulums "self-canceling" so I think maybe good on an ocean ship counterbalanced against the waves in one plane, but how could you counterbalance for another plane like North-South AND East-West? Reading Wikipedia I see now there's a whole lot of technology stuffed into the chronometer problem. sorry I bothered you. Video is still interesting. Thanks.

2:40 look at the spinning gear to the lower right. NOT concentric but rather friction sliding gear to gear sliding. All visible sliding absorbs energy from friction.
