Speaking of hearing loss This audio isn't good for those who have it.

Wow Cynthia! It is almost magic! But you are so right about the things you told at the beginning of the video... I try out your excercices every morning... Thank you of the deepest of my heart... ❤

What do you have for hearing loss? I know mine is from a noisy brain. Hearing aids are helpful but can send an unnatural sound that doesn’t make the situation or the brain noise better.
@FuturelifenowАй бұрын
Hearing loss is something we aren't able to do much or anything about. Could there be situations where the brain needs calming to hear better, yes. And could there be times when the tension in the jaw, skull and neck affect hearing, yes. But these instances are fairly rare from what I have seen. I know hearing aids aren't the same. And don't help everyone as much as others. Definitely do Feldenkrais for calming the nervous system brain and improving awareness and perception overall because that improves most every moment of life. But I would still expect you to need support from a hearing aid.

Nice to meet you, I am learning Bones for Life in Japan. Why do you make a loud popping sound when you fly? Is it ineffective to fly without making a sound?
@FuturelifenowАй бұрын
Congrats on being on the Bones for Life program in Japan. Are you asking why the ears making a popping noise when you fly?
@AK-bn9gmАй бұрын
Thanks for the reply. Why do you say "panpan" and bounce?
@FuturelifenowАй бұрын
We say "Pum, pum." It helps us keep a light easy rhythm and makes sure we keep breathing.

Also, when we are laying on the floor, and you’re saying move the ball “forward”, is that toward the ceiling? Toward the feet? Toward the head? I’ve been confused by the word in other FDK lessons as well.
@Futurelifenow2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the question. Forward in space relative to whatever position you are in. Lying on the floor, it will come towards the ceiling a bit but because it is a ball and a socket with a shoulder blade and collar bone, it will also tilt a bit (if we don't stop it) towards the direction of the pelvis. I hope that helps.
@loispetersen8012 ай бұрын
That helps. Thanks

Do you have a link to the Alex Grey Eclipse painting you were talking about? When I googled it, quite a few images of his paintings were titled ECLIPSE. But I didn’t see one that seemed to include the areas of the diagonals of the diagram you had created.
@Futurelifenow2 ай бұрын
www.alexgrey.com/art/nature-field/eclipse www.alexgrey.com/art/sacred-mirrors/spiritual-world I like either of these for demonstrating the lines. Through it is true that eclipse does not show the all six lines.

It's really important that you sign up for the free summit starting soon. You can do that at FeldenkraisSummit.com. You can come to the free live summit or purchase the Unlimited Freedom Bundle. With the bundle, you will get access to smaller group, private Secret Sauce Movement lessons with Cynthia Allen and Lavinia Plonka. And you might benefit from that in addition to the free summit. But for sure, grab free.

The fact is Feldenkrais "practitioners" take some classes and all of a sudden they are providing medical advice and therapy to patients (clients) where they are not Board Certified or even licensed to do so. These "practitioners" are not aware of any pre existing conditions that can be exacerbated if encouraged to engage in certain therapy. The practitioners are not even aware of what are dangerous movements that can effect different underlining conditions such as brittle bones, spinal issues, heart conditions, cancers, digestive issues, acid reflux, irregular balance, torn muscles, asthma, nerve problems etc. If one is to consider Feldenkrais Method they should definitely consult with their private physician first for their approval.

I’m trying hard to follow these instructions, but I can’t make them work. I try and try, but I canNOT cause my inner critic to change its location, voice, size, etc., etc. I can’t change those characteristics of hers, and she certainly doesn’t change them when I ask! (No matter how politely). For example, when I ask or tell her to talk in Donald Duck’s voice, she refuses When I ask what positive intention she has, she says I’m too stupid to understand that, even if she felt like telling me. Also, she will NOT talk to any creative part of mine, because she thinks that, if I had a creative part, it would just be too stupid and disgusting and inconsequential to be talked with, anyway. Please advise.
@Futurelifenow3 ай бұрын
Your internal critic sure is working hard for you. Please ask what the positive intention for refusing is. And if that doesn't work, schedule a private appointment. NLP can sometimes be done alone but often needs a practitioner to help you find the just right approach. Contact [email protected] for the scheduling link.
