She's already had 2 babies with the male, she left because she wasn't interested in him. If the people really made it that hard for them to mate, then they would've had an enclosure to themselves or they would've left entirely.

I came here because I had read about this bird. The male is not paired with one female, so he will (in nature) make this display to many females. Each performance is important.
