Hey man no hate just something I noticed. You seem to be In too low of a gear for most of the faster parts. I know because I do the same thing. Also if the gear you’re in is too slow but the next gear is too fast, just use the clutch and feather when appropriate. Hope this helps man and great vid

Your feedback is appreciated. I just got back into riding after 30 years (I'm 47 now but had a KX 80 as a teenager I used only on tracks) and got going on this brand new bike in early March. I'm still a noob but have improved a lot, but realize there is so much more to learn. So far I'm at 27 riding sessions and about 35 hours this season. I constantly experiment for the sake of improvement and analyze the footage to see where I can tidy things up. You can see this in my inconsistent riding style but it's only because I'm always testing different lines and how the bike's attitude handles things. It's an ongoing process but so worth it as you know how enjoyable this sport is. I've found the riding community to be very helpful and vocal in their thoughts and opinions, specifically the group that focuses on slower and more technical terrain (hill climbing, log hopping, etc.). Although this bike is challenging in those conditions, this can be offset with good riding technique, mechanical adjustments, and better fitness. I completely agree with you, and definitely could have been in a higher gear for a lot of this, even though most of it was 3rd to 5th. This is a biproduct of having an old school KX80 as a kid that has conditioned me to ride in the meat of the power at all times, it's a habit I'm trying to kick. Often what we hear does not translate to actual better speed but it's easy to get caught up in the exciting revving sounds of the machine. There is so much detail in riding and it can be overwhelming at times, but I'm hell bent on making the most of it. It's definitely a craft that will challenge anybody, but very rewarding when you make progress.

There are routes in this area that will take you to Sylvia's, but we mainly stayed around the Milburn mountain area.

There are a lot of roads and trails in this area so it's hard to be specific, but we climbed the mountain from the north side and came down on the south side.
