This question came up during the training and at the time I didn't have and answer to. “When does the warranty period start with Instant On?” . Warranty starts on the day of cloud onboard for the APs and Switches. For the situation that the customer does not use the cloud for the Switches and local management only, the warranty start date goes to the Proof of Purchase receipt from the initial end user. We do not honor warranty dates based on resale, and I think we have an argument against unauthorized resellers, especially ones selling grey market products not shipped from the Americas (AMS) warehouse. To claim warranty, they do not have to register the product, but to ensure the smoothest warranty process, we highly encourage end users to self-register the products on the support portal. Otherwise, it takes time for TAC to get the cloud onboard date or verify the proof of purchase date, it’s sort of a manual process each time but there’s initiatives to improve this.

All well and good when talking about them, but this cabled ultra pro router costs the same as WiFi 7 high-end routers whilst not offering more ports... OK, it might be more performant on advanced prosumer and enterprise filtering, but it does not look well for home users. That switch, again, could be more performant than competition, but said competition has had 24x2.5GbE+4xSFP+ solutions on offer for quite some time already, at up to a third of this switch cost. Neither is the cloud management an added feature over the rest of the market, when all the competition does offer the same. Were the subscription fees be part of product prices, one could argue for this Netgear platform, but it's yet another added cost to consider, same as with the cheaper competition. So nothing ground-breaking nor home prosumer enticing...

Bit disappointing, that EAP225-Wall Access Point has only 100Mbps Downlink. I think it looks better, than the upcoming EAP230-Wall, that will have a GB downlink, but no one knows when it will be available. I have also seen, that in some countries EAP235-Wall is already available, but where exactly is a mistery.
