I am not sure about that. You can do 2 things: Ask the manufacturer (Thomann) or order a kick pad and return it if it doesn't work. Good luck! 😁

Thank you 🙏 The sticks are half the weight of a regular stick so they play different for sure. But the rubber grip feels very comfortable. You can read more about it in my review (description).

I ordered this drumkit recently. The pads are quite sensitive and well placed. It plays nicely. There are a ton of silly little songs on it, but they are excellent to play along for practice. Now the settings buttons are not the easiest to navigate, but once you get the hang of it you can quickly change sounds and volumes. I have not yet figured out to change the volume of the metronome separately (to change speed and how many beats in a measure is no problem though!). Also you can change the volume of the individual pads and save it to a usersetting. But I didn't found a way to change these pad-volumes definitely. So for example what happens is that if you go on to a different song, automatically the device also switches to the drum kit that fits with the song. But then all the standard settings of that drumkit come with it and your own settings are overriden. So that is a bit of an annoyance. Fortunately if you get a bit good with sound / page buttons you can quickly edit some things around in a few seconds. The huge annoyance for me though is the small foot switches. These are absolutely terrible. I knew this when I bought the thing, so I ordered a yamaha KU100 footpedal with it. But unfortunately the thing does absolutely nothing when plugged into the MD-100........... So I am now asking thomann whats up with this. Incompatible? But when there is an electric footpedal that actually works I can see myself quickly learning some drums and recording with this device, no problem.

Thank you for the review! 👍 I faced the problem with the kick pedal too (I tried to connect the Millenium HD-120 trigger pedal but that didn't work). I hope Thomann can give some advice about this, could you please let me know what their answer is?

I think for hands-only this kit is OK for the price. The pedals are fun but don't work like a real bass drum pedal.

Overall it's a decent kit. The rack is stable and the sounds are good, but no mesh heads and real kick drum. Looking at the price, it's worth it and perfect for practice or just jamming.

I have it at Home and Sorry to say but I hate it. The fake kick is bad, and its not real size. Its for kids. I probobly wouldnt recommend for a beginner. Buy something with real size for adults. And a real bass drum pedal. Just my opinion.

@ yeah. Or no. If u are a beginner I would recommend something under 1000$. Though it can cost from 400-1000$. It is because that you need a real kick pedal. And u will love to have mesh heads instead of rubber because that rubber are not as realistic as mesh.

I already know the MD-90 and I know that the MD-100's pedals aren't as good (but it wouldn't be a problem for me to change them). But my question concerns the noise emitted by the drumstick strokes on the pads: Mesh pads are certainly less noisy than rubber ones, but what about 3.5” cymbal pads? Are the strokes on the cymbal pads of the MD-100 louder or quieter than those of the MD-90, or is it the same? (Does the body of the drum kit resonate more or less than the MD-90 when the cymbals are struck?). Thanks in advance for any clarification. Incidentally, I'd like to suggest that you systematically include the acoustic noise emitted by electronic drums in your tests. It's an important selection criterion when you live in an apartment... 🙂

Good idea! I'll see if I can include those videos in the future. Regarding the kit: the cymbals are pretty much the same in terms of noise compared to the MD-90.

I'm asking myself these questions, as I don't have much space, and I'm looking for a cheap solution with meshpads, so I've selected the two products you suggest: - The Millenium MD-100 - The Gear4Music VISIONDRUM (identical to the “Millenium Rookie E-Drum Set”, by the way) But on the VISIONDRUM/Rookie, what's noisy are the hard plastic cymbals, apparently even noisier than the cymbal pads on the MD-90/MD-100…

A full kit is always better than a mobile drum. I don't remember how noisy the Rookie was, but if you want I can look up the original video with camera sound (the sound people in the room will hear) and post it

The texture of the snare drum mesh head at bottom right is different from the other 3 toms mesh heads. Did you change or repair the mesh head?

Do you know if a bass drum pad (triggered by mechanical kick pedal) would work well with this kit? I'm asking because the included pedals are... quite shite, tbh - zero sensitivity and double-triggering all the time.

Yes the quality of the pedals isn't very good. For hands this kit is good though. I connected a kick trigger to the MD-90, that didn't work unfortunately. Maybe Millenium can answer your question.

I haven't reviewed the DD-75 yet, but I will in the future. Yamaha is a better brand in terms of quality and durability, so I think it will be.
