Not going down the same route as JCB with their hydrogen designed engine? Seems if you believe all the stories doing the rounds EV’s / Hybrids are being sidelined for other non fossil fuels.. Will be interesting to see which one wins or of course which one is the icing on the cake.

So is this a parallel hybrid with the emphasis (as a demonstration) on being an aftermarket swap for a purely combustion-engine-mechanical-drivetrain, with the 2 motors being clutched in and out? Is there any value to a serial hybrid (Perkins diesel driving generator) like Nissan e-Power? Is there a 'grunt' problem as JCB suggested, or a lack of cheap EV components in this power range? 75kW doesn't sound large any more. Is it all about sustained power, or do operators notice the absence of massive flywheel/crank inertia 'eating' impulses? So many questions... Interesting development avenue! Good luck.

Can we get to thermal stability with batteries?

Nice one, Perkins company with their equipment is really helping us in all ways round. As a mechanic I will say Perkins engine is reliable. The only problem is ,they don't give out their EST to people that need it.

Isn’t Helium dwindling? It’s constantly leaving earth and it’s hard to recapture. Even the recoverable mines are being depleted. This isn’t a longstanding solution. We need to size down wars, car use, more public transit and more walkable cities.

Currently trying to figure out why there is low oil pressure on my Perkins 4108 in a 1988 slocum 43 yacht. Having a hard time locating the oil pressure relief valve and can’t seem to find any engine diagrams online or in the manual that shows there this is located on the block. There are no leaks, so our next step was the pressure relief valve, assuming I can find it. Any help would be appreciated!!! Thank you!

Thanks for the video. I have a New Holland T6050 with 6.5ltr Perkins engine. What happens to the air in the water separator when you empty any water from the separator and then it primes back up with fuel from the 1st ignition? Does it need to be bled off futher along the fuel line before the fuel gets to the injectors. Thanks.
