As the composer of this song and the person responsible for the english translation one of the aspect of a translation is to make it as simple as possible. I believe this song is not only watched by those from the Kadazan race but people from other races too so it is very important to translate it in simplest term so everyone can understand the meaning of the lyrics. There were times i could have used deeper english words but i decided against it. There were also moments where after this song had already been released i realised i could have translated it differently. This is all part of the challenges of translating a song into another language. Anyway thanks for your invaluable comment and input which i will take into consideration for all my other songs in future.

@@florenciusmojikon6745 thank you for your input sir...however just a 2 cents here, pls maintain the Unduk Ngadau name instead of 'beauty queen'. Although we know Unduk Ngadau is beauty queen competition but we as KDMRs people called it as Unduk Ngadau more than a beauty queen itself but for more deeper purpose, the name itself is Unduk Ngadau already kata nama khas...so outsiders will call it as Unduk Ngadau, not need to use other terms in other languages. For example like Durian, there is no way Western call it as thorny fruits....my point is not to rise arguments here just to remind each other. You are always allow to disagree....

@@ely9258 I totally agree with you that we should always use and retain the words unduk ngadau in kaamatan event as it's part of our language and kdmr culture which we are proud of...however in a kadazan song when the lyrics are translated into english it has to be translated fully, the purpose is to let people of other ethnicities especially foreigners to know the meaning of the original lyrics...that's why the wording unduk ngadau have to be translated to beauty queen
