I'm offended. First you start out saying the man is a soldier then he is a Marine. A soldier is US Army person. A Marine is a Marine not a soldier.

Does this really occur where some self-appointed critic goes about surveying a crowd to determine "Who doesn't belong?" Then making a scene in front of other guests of influence.

Many years ago, I worked at a concession stand at the local airport in my city. I worked with a young man who was Hawaiian, but looked like he may have been Latino. He was very kind to the customers and treated everyone he encountered with respect & courtesy. One particular day a Karen was at our concession stand just being a Karen - she was rude, insensitive & just plain ol' mean to him. By the time she made her purchase & was being handed her change, she insisted that he put her change on the counter because she didn't want him touching her hand. It broke my 22-year-old heart to see him treated that way - I could see that he was just as hurt as I was. She was frustrated that her plane was late and took it out on him. I was so happy to watch her waddle herself out of our little stand and down the concourse - so was he. Watching this video brought back that memory so clearly - and that was 40 years ago when it happened, but it's so sad that people have not evolved/matured since then, nor does it seem likely that they will.

Not necessarily. I have seen this shit in real life and it makes me sick. Considering I come from mixed racial ethnic family. My mother has been made fun of and discriminated against people used to call her ugly homely little Indian or ugly homely Indian depending on age she passed away 8 years ago going on 9 years. I have seen this to many others of my family that don't look white or mixed. Plus I remember a classmate who was mixed and was almost murdered for it. But was saved and had a long recovery to before he could return to school so tutoring was set up were teachers would first go to the hospital then his home. Plus I have a half African American uncle one of my mother's little half brothers and half Filipino cousin. Plus I have a Japanese aunt by marriage and Half Japanese cousin. Plus a half Spanish/Mexican cousin. So this shows I would never tolerate that woman and let me tell you I would banned her from all of our properties. Including our families little store that has mostly been run by people who are not White European ancestry.

@ I know you are right, and any form of discrimination sickens me. Thats what I meant about the ethics. And I know this scene and many, many more have played out. I’m white, but have been in mixed race communities my whole life. In elementary school I was the only white kid in school, and all through school my oldest friends were (and thankfully are) black. Of course that doesn’t make me black, but I’ve watched this my whole life like you have. My only concern is on any story, not just this particular one or this particular topic, that readers for their own clarity are able to understand the difference between a representative story and an actual specific true story. We all get manipulated by media, social or otherwise, and it’s easy to have AI write a generic story that we emotionally connect with, add some AI or web-clipped images, and present it ambiguously as a “true story”. For what it’s worth, I also strongly connected to the story. Anyway, thank you for engaging my thoughts - my best to you.

PEOPLE! STOP BEING IDIOTS! All these stories are AI inventions. Their sole purpose is to goose emotional responses from the audience. These channels are set up to panhandle for "hits" " likes" (and unfortunately-comments) and the more the better so that they become "monetary" ie youtube pays them money when they go viral. That's why there are tens of thousands of these youtube horror tales - the more there are , the more you click and the more they get paid when you react! (and DO NOT "like" this comment)

Elijah. I am so very proud of you and your manager. Gracefully standing up to that horrible woman with her antiquated ideas of who does and doesn't belong. So many centuries have passed to the dispicable treatment of your ancestors that should have been gracefully laid to rest. You have done a wonderful job standing up for yourself and others in your position. May our Higher Power watch over you and keep you safe.

THe video has a story but the stories that people go throught everyday because of the color of their skin or the language they speak even when the language is a reconized language of the country. That is the sad reality of what takes place in many instance around the world. I was raised to never disrespect another person, but I see that teaching that kind of lesson may not be in used today. I am sadden that soon one of the most hateful person is to become the President of the United States of America. I lament what will happened , I have lived the Riots of Detroit and LA , I have followed the marches of people who cared and gave their life for the sake of humanity. I only have a short time left but I do pray that I will not see a country returned to the pass because of the hatred of one man. May the God of us All take pity on us,

Action speak louder than words as the ability to stand up for what's right. At the end, he took the new position and became an excellent assistant manager. As for Karen, she became the laughing stock due to the video. No one took her side as she got divorced and left alone.
