In Strong winds, ALWAYS do your approach upwind of the landing zone! Do a "U" approach, coming from the side of the landing and doing a U turn before touching the ground. Pilot was not injured but got his wing on top of a banana tree.

What time of the year was this taken. Looking to book a trip in mid December and worried about the light, especially underwater. Thanks!
@URZALA12 жыл бұрын
This was early November; the water is generally murky but November still offers plenty of light. Mid-December starts to be challenging light wise, the only window is from 10h to 14h; it gives some insane opportunities for twilight landscapes and northern lights, above the water though

Its either the grouper wants to team up with the eel or the grouper has come into a conlcusion that it can swallow the eel whole.

Looks like a pod of resident orcas, which mostly eat fish. Good thing it wasn't pelagic or transient orcas. The story may have played out differently.

Yes indeed😅; I know some ecotypes of Killer whales feed on seals , shark and even baby whales.. Normally the one entering the fjords in Norway feed mainly on herrings..

Yes it was! i was lucky to have the opportunity to freedive with humpbacks in the Caribbean on their breeding grounds where you mostly encounter mother and calf groups; The whales feed very little during their migration to their tropical breeding grounds so they try to save energy as much as they can and you really feel it when you see them underwater. During this encounter however, the mood was completely different: whales are more active in the cold but nutrient rich waters of Norway, and being surrounded by them as they were going after the herrings was just insane! Very intense for sure!
