It says two turns open from closed position at beginning of video... what gun you using?

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Didn't get any notification on my phone, just seen it in my mailbox. First of all, just keep on practicing and don’t stop. At a moment you will get the right distance and speed of the gun and then it will feel natural. Make sure that after you sprayed the first coat of clear, you wait enough time (flash of time) that the clear is sticky for the second coat.

Hi, it’s the C1 aircap and 1.3 tip. I still need to try spraying clear coat with the Devilbiss DV1 Basecoat gun. Hear that also works great.

They do make crazy filters these days 😂 Luckily we don't have to play with real acetone like you anymore to create this effect.

Hi, it’s possible to use the gun for some base colors but it won’t put down al metallics like silver down fine as the basecoat gun because it’s specially designed for clear coat.

Nikko thank you! Normally I have the fluid and fan wide open and spraying at 2.1 BAR / 30 PSI. But in this case with spraying wheels / rims I have the fluid around 3.5 turns open and the fan 2.5 turns open, spraying at 1.9 BAR / 27 PSI.

Hi DHC Trading, the gun was set on 31 PSI. So you were very close guessing 👌🏼

I’ve used the primer from Roberlo in this case. It’s a spanish paint brand.

For the SataJet 5500x I use the 1.2 I tip size.

Awesome I use the same one. How do you like it as far as speed?

@@Gifted0488 Sometimes I forget to go slower then the Sata 5000 and then I find myself spraying it on too dry on the first coat. How do you like the speed? Do you get closer to the panel to move fast or you take it on slow

Yep I just move slower also. I get nervous getting closer then about 6 inches to the panel especially on panels with a lot of curves. If I want to go faster I just grab my sagola but the finish isn't as nice as the 5500

Hi Carlos, The setup I used in this video is: Fan: 2 turns open from fully closed. Fluid: 5,5 turns open from fully closed. Pressure: 2.1 BAR / 30 PSI

Hi, for these parts I used the Spanisch UHS clearcoat from Roberlo. It’s called Roberlo Kronox 520

You're 100% right, it's actually better and safer to wear eye protection too.
