Budget is relative. Mag drill $800~. Beam would be over $1500 retail, flooring etc adds up. But plumbers/electricians ideas of budget is usually double a mechanics! Looks good though!

Without even getting right through to where you say its a Falcon 500. Going by that car it maybe a Grecian Gold Falcon made into a GT complete with bonnet scoop. Looking at the underneath of the boot lid it has a 69-70 xw boot lid as they changed from one round hole at the top of the boot where the boot light wire ran through then in the XY there was a hole opposite on the passenger side. So an original boot lid for XW. Being and original motor with it , it possibly is a Falcon 500 especially seeing the holes in the rear quarters where badges would have been attached. Great find guys. Having a 69 period boot on it and without seeing the shape of where the bonnet pins go through under the bonnet and the ID plate on the Fire wall I would say its an early 70 car in transition from 69 factory panels to early 70. Lots of XY parts there also including XY guards and XW. They are both different if you didn't know. The FoMoCo Radiator is an awesome score. They are very hard to come across as the radiator in the car looks like it is either for a 6 cylinder engine or 302 or not period correct. Lift that bonnet on the ground and look under it where the bonnet pins go through to see if the hole around it is of a D like shape which is a 69 bonnet or a larger oval shape like an XY. Reason being only a 69 model had the D style shape then changed up to the oval shape in 70. Reason I ask is because then you can piece the puzzle together giving you information that ford was running out all its boots and bonnets from the 69 model in 70 which this car is during the process on the production line which would make this car one of which is the in between models during the transposition to 70 model Falcons. Just so you know guys. My bet is its an early 70 model build watching this. Barn find is true. Well done legends.

I like the reviews but without sounding like a knob. The Starlight blue is 69 XWGT & the Brambles a 1970 XWGT ( not a 71). I did notice Franks GTHO 3 title was a 1972. It's actually a 1971. Good showing garages. There is another 2 XWGT in Bright as well 😁

Mine has 260,000 on it but has been fully turned,Pacemaker extractors with 2.5" full Exhaust and only makes 222kw at the wheels but pulls quite hard. I think if that Brutis was a manual you would have enjoyed it far more.

Awesome ute but the Autos sucks I wouldn't own 1 in an Auto. Looks great and sounds pretty good. If it's just factory tuned it won't feel like a power house or be snappy through the Transmission. I have a BA XR8 MK2 ute but it's a 6 speed manual. They liven up with a proper tune and full exhaust system with a good cold air induction kit. There low end performance isn't the best but after 3000-3500Rpm she'll take off. They're pretty torqy but they just don't like pulling hard from low Rpms. I absolutely love mine and they're certainly a capable and fun ute to drive. Great video thanks for sharing.
