Clangoring on nonsmooth surface. On smooth asphalt goes perfectly however on e.g brick like pavements it is EXTREMELY loud. I mean really loud :), I have also the town 7 from decathlon and there I hear only wheels, in hudora I hear some kind of clangoring, not sure form where, screws are tightened. Everyone in 100m radius hear you are coming :) So I would rather not recommend it if you are commuting not perfect tracks

hi! it's 2014 video but i want to know if the bimo tiny top is great for 10 to 20 kilometers day i use oxelo city 9 to commute and after commute for sport for 3 years and its great but i have to change a lot the weels because it's not made for a lot of kilometers. I want a foldable little scooter with big weels to take the bus too if it's rainning. It's hard to find the mibo tiny top in 2017 even on mibo site.

Hi Ramona, thanks for subscribing! I would suggest the Mibo Mastr, Kostka Rebel, maybe a Kickbike model... it also depends on what wheel size you prefer: portability vs safety/comfort/speed

CityKickScooter I'm only planning to use it for 4 miles a day. I tried scooters with pu wheels but they hurt my knees too much. I dont know if it's the action of scooting or the actual scooter. But yeah

i have cygnus with the same wheels size. i replace the rear wheel with 200mm wheel. but i must remove rear break. now i have 230 front and 200 rear. great. it is smoother with 200 whee in the rear
@citykickscooter
@citykickscooter 7 жыл бұрын
And you ride without rear brake now?
@prulcan
@prulcan 7 жыл бұрын
yes. i don´t need them. it is better to step down. on the downhill i don´t ride. rear brake can destroy the wheel. and those wheels is not easy to came across. i have plan to buy another cygnus with 200 wheel. and replace it that i have 230/200 with original wheels and 200/180 also original wheels. first one is more smoother an less bumpy ride. relly helps.but i need original wheel to do that. hudora has model with 250/215. i thing 250/230 is not bad idea. i ride up to 12Kmh easy. try it.

I like Hudora Scooters, especially those for tall adults. But this scooter is rather loud and the back wheel is too small to brake efficiently. You can buy it with a "Cushion" option, but then it's even louder!

Switch 'waste' of energy with 'use'. I'm interested in one of these from a fitness perspective. At 57 i'm generally in good health but the motivation to head to the gym has waned these past few months. Scooters generally are harder work and can only be a good thing. I had my micro nicked recently so I'm looking at an upgrade. I also had my bike stolen last year, so generally having a bit of a tough time so looking to treat myself with ones of these.

I don't think that's likely to happen. Decathlon, the chain store that owns the Oxelo brand, had 18 stores in the US in 2003 but they ended up closing them all. You can get it through 1. an ebay seller that ships from Hungary, 2. new Decathlon store in Mexico (delivery to a Mexican address though) or 3. Craigslist and other classifieds sites (used Town 9)

One more update on this excellent scooter, lately I discovered a rubbing sound coming from the front of my scooter it's about 3 years old and it is used a lot done many miles including abroad, I did take on holiday after all, but the rubbing sound drove me mad, It wasn't a constant hard rubbing sound but a light shallow rubbing sound, so I changed the bearings adjusted the mudguard, made sure it was tight at the same time, just about checked everything before taking the front end apart. After taking the front end apart I discovered a spring this spring had bent over to one side, as I say I'm not surprised considering the amount of use it gets, so it's not a downer on this scooter.Well I doubt very much oxelo provide spare springs for the front end, so to solve the issue i put two m8 washers to sit behind the spring locked the front end back down and hey presto the rubbing sound has gone.I suspect what happened was this; the place I went to on holiday the paths were not very smooth so the front end took a battering, I also carried a lot of weight on the scooter all adding to the extreme pressure on the front end which put the spring out of balance or in other words bent it, plus the fact that it has done a lot of miles all puts extreme pressure on the front end.The washers simply took up some of the room from where the spring had been bent.So if by chance your front end on your oxelo starts to rub it might be an idea to check the spring, it's not a difficult scooter to pull apart but just be aware you can't get the whole front section apart unless you are going to change out the stearing bearings as well in which case the top or bottom bearing shells will need to come out to pull to column out.

Ok I gotta do an update on this scooter cos I've had it a while now. If I had to put it in one word for this scooter and its usefulness I would have to say, awesome. It is super strong little bit of plastic damage to the front push bar but other than that it is really one of the best things I have ever bought, next to my motorcycle of course but then this is self powered. I sorted out the other bits mentioned before and this scooter has been just about excellent, I can't praise the machine any more than to say it is truly well worth every penny I spent on it, it has given me hours upon hours of reliable tough service and still going strong, I've used it for shopping trips, fun trips taken it around the country even in winter (be careful of wet floors though! but they warn you of that anyway,) fabulous product. And here's the thing my other half loves her scooter as well it gives us something to do that we both like doing, and it's great exercise exploring a city with the scooter you can have many good days out using it along with public transport.

Upsss, I deleted your comment, sorry! We do not recommend riding a scooter with hard PU wheels when it rains. The problem with gravel is dust getting into the bearings, if possible ride on smooth paved surfaces. Although you can ride on packed brick or cobblestones, it is uncomfortable and you can not go fast.

+CityKickScooter I don't think I mentioned this on here but there is a problem with the Oxelo klick for the UK the problem is the law.Unfortunately even though it would be a product worth giving a try you could find yourself in deep trouble to the extent of losing your licence if you use one on the road and the dpt trans won't allow them on the pavement.Basically the law says they are considered to be mopeds so they must be registered as such and have a number plate.I have an electric scooter as well as my kick scooter and I had to register it as a moped it's not very big and it's not very fast in fact cars hoot me to get out the way in a 20 zone but as I'm not allowed to use it in bus lanes or cycle lanes like a bicycle I just give them the finger and carry on blocking up the road, that's the law.If the vehicle has two wheels or more and uses electricity other than mobility scooters they must be registered as mopeds in order to be legal, any use other than this and you could find yourself in big trouble.UK only as far as I'm aware though Germany they allow them to use bike lanes though I could be wrong about Germany.
