Strange how the realm of the intellect invaded the 50s when Joe McCarthy's idiocy reigned. And Toscanini and the NBC Symphony were the great cultural event of Sunday afternoons. It was a bizarre yet wonderful time in many ways.

McCarthy's idiocy?! So there was no Communist infiltration in Holllyweird and other places of influence?! You are idiocy incarnate! 😂 Since you blind to the proofs all around you I suggest you start with : KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov's warning to America (1984) on YT and carry on from there to reach a certain level of wisdom which you so desperately lack.

I remember watching these series on Sunday evening in the 50s. Have always been a history buff, even to this day Aug 2, 2022.

I didn't know there were T.V. cameras in Socrates's era.

this is great, and we still haven't learned the lesson of "when you make the accusation, you have to expect the punishment to be carried out" - I see it as similar to "not bear false witness" - you can't just say never mind after destroying a person in public. now, that's all that happens. we no longer are governed by the rule of law, but by the outrage of the mob.
