I lost my 2 best friends, my mama and daddy almost years to the day. Four months after burying my daddy my kids and I were put out of our home of 7 years. One week after we started moving out we were approved to move into the house we were praying for. Thank you so much for posting this. I used to regular this church. I was so young around Bishop Abney. But he left such an impact on my I literally remember him 25 years later. He was so good and kind. Really takes a special kind of person to be like him.

For those who did not know, Bethel Pentecostal always closed the Festival of the Arts downtown Grand Rapids on Sunday.

I grew up going to Bethel with my cousins and would walk to church to hear Pastor Abney preach, he was that Good.
