Great video! Thank you for including all steps and explaining the process. I have watched so many videos about reupholstering a small footstool and was disappointed that needed visuals were left out. I may have a small footstool, but I want to pride in what I do. Thank you sooooo much. (I’m saving you video for future reference 😊)

Is there anything you’d need to do differently if you were using blackout lining? It doesn’t hold a crease as well as cotton I’m finding.
@just_fabrics11 күн бұрын
Hello, There is nothing different with blackout lining, so follow along as usual. It won’t hold a crease so well because of the coating. Hope this helps! Kind regards, Just Fabrics

Nice! Love how you secure your knots. I learned a lot! Can you put pleats in outdoor curtains? I am currently making curtains and using clips with rings, but I’m wondering if I should’ve made pleats instead. I didn’t think you could use outdoors, but I could be wrong. I’m using a fabric called Sunbrella, which is an outdoor waterproof fabric. Thank you!
@just_fabrics2 ай бұрын
Yes you could definitely try! It might be difficult to get perfect pleats due to the stiffness of the fabric but it's possible. Let us know how you get on! Kind regards, Just Fabrics
@earthdweller2222 ай бұрын
This particular fabric is not stiff however, I’ve decided not to use pinch pleats since the curtains can be seen on both sides. Thanks for your response!

I am recovering a footstool, similar to the one in this video. When I placed the fabric for fitting I notice that my handprint is remaining, not springing back to smoothness. I can't figure it this is the fabric or because of the batting. Have you ever had this happen? I have tried various interfacing underneath and had removed the batting and still no luck.
@just_fabrics2 ай бұрын
Hi, We have a video all about recovering a footstool, that can be found here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmeXi2mDoLl2frM. Following that video closely will leave you with a great final product. I'd especially recommend paying attention to the hand placement of our tutor throughout and ensure the tension of the fabric is good as this will help with your hand print issue. Hopefully this helps, if you have anymore questions then please let me know. Kind regards, Just Fabrics

What if you use that front fabric to be lining? Then the front and the back look the same, people from out side see the printed fabrics instead of plain color?
@just_fabrics3 ай бұрын
Hi, This could be done if its your preference, our method shows the industry standard for making a roman blind with lining. Kind regards, Just Fabrics
@arpsri96753 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing this knowledge. I have suggestions about closing the channel. You could use snap fastener to close one end. Then when the curtains need to be washed, we can remove the rod and put them in washing machine. It should be able to wash?
@just_fabrics3 ай бұрын
Hi, We're glad you enjoyed this video! If you're concerned about cleaning then we'd recommend a damp cloth for small marks, and for a full clean we'd recommend getting them professionally dry cleaned. However before dry cleaning, it's important to check that the fabric thats been used is able to be cleaned in this manner. There are a few points of stress on a roman blind so we'd recommend sticking to the usual method of securing the rods to ensure the quality of the blind. Hope this helps! Kind regards, Just Fabrics
