La vida hace que coincidan en el tiempo gente muy talentosa y no todos corren con la misma suerte de convertirse en ARTISTAS INTERNACIONALES . A Luis Gardey le toco' competir con NINO BRAVO , JULIO IGLESIAS , DYANGO , CAMILO SESTO , JUAN PARDO , RAPHAEL , JOSE LUIS PERALES , JUAN MANUEL SERRAT ,etc . Todos los mencionados tuvieron la suerte de poder vivir exclusivamente de la musica por mas de 50 años . Luis Gardey apenas lo logro'unos 17 o 18 años , comenzo'a mediadosde los años sesenta y ya para finales de los 70 y comienzos de los 80 vivia de vender autos y cantaba esporadicamente . En los noventa era solo un recuerdo.

I always subscribed to the belief that Sandie, unlike Dusty, would meekly do as her record producer told her. I suddenly (after sixty years) realise how unlikely that was. 1. She wasn't that kind of girl. 2. She was utterly different right from the start. No one else sings like her, she had to have come up with that whole style herself. 3. So by the same token, of course she would change songs around to suit herself. 4. And I love her more than ever.

I came to think she was kind of weird in later life. But my god she was gorgeous and I fancied her as much as I fancied Judith Durham. That's saying something, I tell you. And I've played her records and loved them for just on sixty years now. Just watching her rehearsing "Always " now, a good one off her first LP. My older brother was working and he bought that LP and later refused to give it to me when he lost interest in pop music in favour of folk. I'm not even trying to forgive him for that meanness.

Conocí a Dino en una noche de Madrid, accidentalmente mientras tomábamos una copa pues uno de mis acompañantes lo conocía y de frecuentar ese club. Hicimos unas cuantas risas, en fin, éramos todos más jóvenes y la noche de verano ayudaba. Debo decirte, que esta grabación es muy antigua y no hace justicia a la voz y a la profesionalidad de Dino. En la vida el triunfo está en lo que Dios te da y tienes la oportunidad de mantenerlo y acrecentando y, por lo que leo, tú debes ser hija de Dino, du gran Triunfo. Enhorabuena. Ángel.
