A Harris bipod is the mark of an unsophisticated shooter. It means the shooter has not noticed bipod bounce yet. Learn to shoot better and you will notice it.

I have this nagging question. This video has 14.4K views, and only 7 of us gave a thumbs up. There are some lazy a$$ people on here. The man gives top-notch information/content and gets so little in return. Slap the thumbs up people.

Listened to the SRS pod. Heard the voice on a reel and KNEW I knew that voice from somewhere. And turns out you’re the real deal Holyfield with the shooting. Subbing for sure 🤙🏼

Any issues with them ranging say berms past your steel target in flat ground. Mine struggles past 700 to pick up the smaller target and not range what is much farther back

Give this a whirl: If you lower the front leg of your tripod down 6 inches or so, you can reduce the muzzle flip a good amount. This pushes the apex of the tripod forward and redirects more of the recoil into the rear legs and minimizes that front leg lifting off the ground during recoil. Sort of like a an old M2 tripod.
@capableinc4861Ай бұрын
I do run the leading leg a bit lower than the rear, but only about 1.5-2". If you go further than that you'll reach a point of diminishing returns and actually experience a rise in the gun as it the recoil pushes the tripod and gun onto the rear legs. I prefer to allow the gun to recoil a bit and keep the movement more in line and thus keeping target in my optic /FOV throughout the cycle. It may look like a lot movement, but it's 9lbs 7mm PRC on a 2.5lbs tripod.

Awesome work. Allot of thought went into optimizing this set up for speed in the field. Definitely incorporating some of this.

Do you have any suggestions for a tripod for a guy that’s 6’6”? I have 2 BOG deathgrip bipods now but neither of them are tall enough and I have to bend to get lined up.
