I'm from Finland and ride enduro. The whole idea riding in snow is that you sit on the bench and balance yourself out by sliding your legs on the snow. We have special boots which are much more slippery than regular ones so the sliding is easier. It's a whole other world riding in winter than it is in the summer :)
