i love this video! I have been getting all my gear in order to raft kite. my friends think im nuts for thinking of this. this could open up so many cool opportunities to be able to cover large distances and have it be fun. thanks for posting this

I ve mastered this in my cheap kayak with rounded hull and you can steer up/down wind but you need to unhook and pull kite force towards back of kayak to get up wind tack, I use either 3m or 5m airfoil kite only, as anything bigger is just going to pull you over!

I believe the control bar is only a 3 line power kite Red . blue. And a 3rd line that is just a safety that leads to trailing edge so when you drop the bar the kite doesnt pull any ...just flaps I've seen people that use a hook to temporarily attach to the bar on a "power kite" when under way
