Im a Kiwi and I thought that we suffer from "Tall poppy symdrone" where no one likes to see another person is doing better than them. OR having the guts to give it a go! But Aussies were so positive... I thought and better than kiwis. Now I see we are the same. Its human nature to be negitive and envey those who are I my view are doing better than me. But what going on in their lives to make them that way. So now I feel sorry for the na sayers as they must have a:sad life. I love the fact you will say we have no idea what we are doing like renovating Myrtle. You are out their having a go and it beats all the “know it all” who probably either have no idea or are the idiots putting the rest of us in danger!! You guys and Sarah n Keelan are my most favourites out of 12 youtubers i watch!! I ‘ve been watching you all for 4 years now and i’d rather watch all you guys than normal tv. In fact i have with-drawl symptoms if there isn’t a weekly post to watch. Please pay no attention to the haters you have great tv presents and your laughing at yourselves and situations keeps me very happy as i laugh along with you, often identifying some of your experiences. I have a 105 series auto petrol Landcruiser and love it. Had a great 1974 millard to a new campertrailer, campertrailer caravan and offroad caravan with all the bells n whistles!! Had sooo much fun in all of them then lost it all due to family situation & marriage breakup so now rebuilding from scratch again. You both remind me if my xhubby n i starting out. Regarding the perfect touring vehicle... Curious if either of you have done the weights on a 200 series? If I chuck a 2t van on the back add a bullbar, roof rack, drawer, fridge and full tank of fuel and 2 adults 3 teenagers I believe it'd be over weight just on gvm - van weight may be different... Can't remember if I used my van or a 3.5t as the van weight considering that's what most people assume you tow if it has a 3.5t capacity. Those are fairly standard accessories and that's no luggage, nothing in the fridge or drawer and no extra accessories. All I know is that with my van weight (1.951t) a dual cab in the dmax/ranger/bt50 bracket gives me more payload capacity than I will need compared to a 200 series. And don't get me started on price comparison...

Great vlog. We love everything you guys do. We have Been so inspired that we've started renovating our old caravan. Negative people will always be part of social media unfortunately. I think the negativity comes from people struggling due to the cost of living. People are concerned with global climate and at home so it could be that. Sad really cause your vids bring some escape from the daily grind. X

I think the reason you guys have a good following is the fact you aren't driving the latest and greatest vehicle or caravan which makes you very relatable to Joe average. It is very easy to adjust up to driving an American truck for travelling.
