Looking good! Instead of a rectangular coffee table, I would consider a round table. Easier to go around.

Hey guys I am a home stager and when we run into small spaces like in front of the couch, you'll want something round or oval. Also helps you not bump into painful corners😅

I'm only 7 minutes in, but what about a table that folds down from the wall? or two small (think side tables) that fold down from the walls on both sides??

Turn the coffee table around and when its not being used it could be moved over to beside the stairs foe more leg room.

Rotate coffee table 180deg, so inline with the steps and can be used from lower section

From an interior designer-Rotate that coffee table. Stair will be clear and table remains same size.

Ditch the coffee table. Maybe small tables that flip down from the back wall when company comes for drinks or such and you could also do that at the end of the couch as well

I think when you live in a tiny place no one item should have a single use....maybe the coffee table could have a cushion on top of a storage box, so you can put your feet on it and have a tray on top of that for putting drinks on, 3 uses in one, or make the box a four sided book case, or push up to the wall to make a three sided sofa matching the rest of the unit, but be able to pull it into the middle as a table. I am sure it can be done, just think outside the box (pardon the pun!)

If you have a storage coffee table turn it around so the rectangle is long ways.trim corners as well, you don’t need to have round as it’s not storage practical, just curve the edges of it. Also you don’t need a toaster or an oven if you have an airfryer and a microwave. Also a rice cooker is good to boil veggies, make food in too. No rail up top. Do low shelves,

Think about not putting your sink in the corner, You’ll continually bump your elbow.. another option for your coffee table is to use a lagoon leg, same as in some caravans.. then it'll swivel anyway you want it to.. and won't be in your way.. I'm looking forward to following your journey.. good luck..

2 small tables that the feet go under the sofa-ikea has them. They can be moved around as needed. Take up little to no floor space.

Make a wide flat armrest on the couch so you could use it as a side table as well, the need for a coffee table is reduced so have an ottoman instead to kick your feet up. That's what I would do

Hey guys. Nice to be watching your channel. I just wanted to drop you a line to introduce you to another KZbin channel of a guy who travels the world showing tiny homes. His name is Bryce and his KZbin channel is called Living Big In A Tiny Home. I know he has also built a few tiny homes himself so he should be a good person to connect with in terms of advice, product suggestions and anything else tiny home related. Wishing you guys heaps of luck and fun along your journey in creating your new home. Natalie

Instead of a coffee table install some small different level/length shelves above the couch head on either walls so you have spaces to pop your stuff, and/or you could get some coffee tables that tuck into the couch and can be pulled out when in use and tucked away when not using :) can confirm coffee tables get super annoying and in the way with limited floor space like you’ve shown - you’ll get sick of walking around it and feeling cramped!!

Lagoon tables move every which way and small and dont use any floor space.. Used in RVs . I can agree with others about the sink situation. I hate my 5" deep sink. A 12 v fridge, you can use electric or DC. They are pretty efficient . Glad for Kendall to get a real bathroom . Girls need that, going without for too long ! Gorgeous property omg !

I love the stairs in the back with the fabulous long Louvre windows. Amazing airflow for drying the bathroom and airflow upstairs and down. Great choice. I agree with most others. Don't scrimp on the kitchen sink, future proof incase of a baby in the future, make cooking and cleaning enjoyable it's a major part of every day. 😘

Instead of a coffee table what about this? How about going without a coffee table and step the couch out a couple of inches for extra horizontal storage and use the lid that runs along the couch as a shelf for photos, special treasures, books, coffee cups glasses etc. When you need a "coffee table" use a beautiful tray on the couch for nibbles snacks etc. you could also make a size appropriate timber slip(out of a piece of feature wood) that slips over the end of the couch that you can pull out to use as a table as well. Multi use and your dementions can be perfect to the space. Not to mention a stunning piece of furniture maybe Kendall could join a men's/woman's shed and make it. New Friends a new skill win/win😘 Google slip over couch table. ... Enjoy designing 😍

Instead of a coffee table can you do some fold down shelf’s on the wall next to the couch in strategic places to put your drinks etc when you’re sitting, that way you can fold them away and not knock into them when not in the space? Then you can also prioritise pull out storage under the couch too…

Have the coffee table pop up out of the floor when you need it
@shaunamccartan7642 күн бұрын
I agree with others... get a decent sized sink that will fit your largest frypan. Also, don't cram it into the corner. You need space to stack dirty dishes and clean dishes, and be able to stand side by side. Think about putting the stove on the back wall. If you have it near your sink, your rangehood will interfere with your beautiful window, and I think you'll have issues with your proposed fly screen and the heat from the stove. If you put it against the back wall, you can tile behind it (building code/safety) and have your exhaust fan not blocking your window. I've got some experience in designing kitchens. Feel free to dm me if you want to pick my brains for ideas. I also have the solution to your sofa/coffee table dilemma and it's far simpler than you might think 😉 Good luck with your build ❤

For the coffee table, consider two circular nesting tables. Keep them together on the daily, but when you need a little more table space you pull the smaller one out.
