I like how the narrator does a requiem for the manner in which the show ended. Edith prematurely dies, leaving Archie alone and downtrodden. Mike and Gloria get divorced, with Mike literally abandoning her and Joey. Gloria comes back to New York but moves far upstate, away from Archie. And even Joey turned out to be bratty and defiant toward the grandfather who adored him.

Red Dead Revolver has this spaghetti western look to it, down to the old film feel effects. I’ve always felt like it was just a low-budget cult movie only loosed based on the known facts, and John Marston (who has the same scars) was the actual man behind the myth.

All In The Family was very great and funny with everyone together. However I think Rob Reiner and Jean Stapleton got burned with their roles by the time It was Archie Bunkers . Sadly they went on to other projects and other roles. So Edith suddenly died on season two of Archie Bunkers Place. Mike and Gloria divorce in the last season of Archie Bunkers Place actually it was the show Gloria. Archie Bunkers Place and Gloria were sad and depressing sitcoms unfortunately:(

It was way too late to introduce a new main character by that point. They should have just ended the series with season 7. Season 8 felt like a completely different show altogether.
@RickOnTheDrums5 ай бұрын
All In the Family Should have ended right after Mike and Gloria left for California. That last season with Stephanie was just horrible, and there should have been no spinoffs. There would have been no sad ending to Mike and Gloria's marriage, or the death of Edith. In Archie Bunker's Place, Archie just wasn't the same loveable bigot that we enjoyed in the original series, and without the supporting cast members, the show was just unbearable. The spinoff Gloria sunk even lower than that and was promptly cancelled. Then they even tried one more spinoff called 704 Hauser by having completely reversed roles of a black family having bought Archie's house, with the father being a liberal, and the son being a conservative. I just wanted to gauge my eyes out at that point! IMO, All in the Family died right after Season 8. After that it was no longer All in the Family.

@@JLuk67 larry didn't exist either. Atleast he didn't truly exist. He was a background nobody with no story. He only got a story after he died. For no other reason than to have a plot
@somebodykares15 ай бұрын
@@1slayer959 Still a difference with creating a character with no backstory to kill off, and creating a story for an underused background character to kill off. Ponce had no backstory and was introduced just to kill the same episode. Larry at least existed without a backstory until they gave him one to kill him off with.

Let me tell you that you are correct that Mike and Gloria returned for a two part XMAS episode in AITF's last season and the first season of ABP it was Thanksgiving. Archie and Edith went to California for the XMAS episode and Mike and Gloria came back East for Thanksgiving. The firing of Mike was him taking part in a nude protest against building a power plant on the site of a nude beach. The two parter doesn't really resolve what will happen to them when they go back to California, but the hope that it will work out. As to why in the Gloria series they had divorced, it was due to both Rob and Sally being offered the chance to come back and do it and Rob was planning his directing career and didn't want to return as Mike, so they had to write it this way to explain his absence. It was like with Edith dying because Jean no longer wanted to do Edith on ABP at all and you needed to have a reason when Archie was home why she wasn't there. It was sad that this happened, but had the actors been willing to continue their roles, they'd have been there.

To this day im still wiling to put money on the idea that Gotham Knights was suppoused to be the Arkhamverse game and sequel to arkham knight.A LOT about it just fits with how the characters and story plays out. In particalr the Harley there actually feels like a natural progression of Arkham harley's character becoming a fully sadistic and cruel villain in her own right. The joker is mentioned but never shown in the game for like....NO reason. Batman is meant to be bead and yet he's not on a rampage? Harley fro some reason in that game and joker split up. that's never really explained. Clayface acts like a crazier version of his Arkham City self. the list goes on. They probibly planned to make it the arkhamverse game and suicide squad was poribbly oriignally supoused to be based on the MOVIES version of the characters. But due to how they saw Avengers crash and burn. They tried to salvage gotham knights as best they could by ripping out all the live service stuff. But they KNEW it was bad. So they remvoed all teh arkham verse refrences possible and changed things in the delay. And gave it over to suicide squad. WHich if you really think about it. is trying WAY too hard to tell you it's Arkhamverse. LIke all the refrences and explinations given for deadshot alone feel really forced and kinda stupid and shoehorned in. This was probibly meant to be it's own universe. But they slapped the Arkhamverse seting onto it to try to make it sell better.

Studios need to stop with this Universe building. MCU did it, but they were the innovators *, but that was lightning in a bottle. Then DCEU and everyone tried to do the same thing instead of their own thing, and just ended up looking like inferior copycats. *(Actually, Marvel did the connected universe decades before the MCU did. The "Incredible Hulk" telemovies in the 80s matched up Hulk with another hero. "In Return Of The Incredible Hulk", Banner finds a way to reverse his gamma radiation and stop being the Hulk, but generates Thor instead. In "Trial Of The Incredible Hulk", Banner is arrested and is represented by Matt Murdoch, who he discovers to be Daredevil. In "Death Of The Incredible Hulk", Banner falls in love with a Russian spy, who, even though never named this in the episode, fits the description of Black Widow (and the actress looks more like her than ScarJo does). There was also going to be a "Spiderman/Hulk" crossover movie (with Nicholas Hammond from the "Amazing Spiderman") and even a proposed She-Hulk spin-off, where Banner and Hulk would appear in the pilot. But soft ratings, cost and Bill Bixby's cancer battle put paid to that. So, Marvel properties did the shared universe a long time before MCU did it.
