As much as it saddens me, there comes a time... Not the bass playing (which really isn't that good) but the all in one leathers.

Not disputing her musical prowess, but the all in one leather look does her no favours. Suzie is my age, used to know her years ago when with Len, and I can no longer get away with the old leathers. Keep rockin'

Those are very good sounding amps. Do a blindfold test with all the Marshall's set to same volume and 100% will not be able to discern which amp is which.

4 pedals and you’re set up for many gigs, a tuner, mxr micro amp (or similar) in the front, analog delay of some kind, ge 7 (or similar) in the loop, now you have a decent clean, a good AC/DC type crunch and a solo boost

Your camera Mike took a few seconds at the beginning to adjust ( struggled to cope with the volume though out actually ) other than that sounds great . Had my Ori50h for a couple of years and have also owned several highly regarded ‘ proper Marshall’s ‘ ( as some would regard them ) and the Origin is my favourite so far 👍

Nice playing. Nice tones. A truly wonderful guitar, and my all-time dream guitar. I always wanted one. I remember when I tried one around 1986. I was extremely impressed. It was pure quality through and through. Schecter took the basic concept of the strat and made it better in every conceivable way. I've always loved those wide pole single coils. Very warm.

I jist found you and I subscribed. You can use a DSL. I did for a long time and it soumded great! One doesnt have to buy the very best. I am playing thru a solid state amp now, and will pribably go to a modeller soon because everyone or everywhere I play at small gigs requires very low volume or no stage volume, which I dont like, but I want to play so I have to obey the rules. The origin sounds great man. ❤ Good video. Nice guitar. I would put a boost such as a DS1 in front and a delay and some reverb and could play a gig easiky with that amp. I tend to play with much more gain so I would ha e to use a boost and or overdrive. Thats just me though. It sounds great just the way it is.. Great playing man. God speed and regards from South Central Indiana USA. Tim. ❤

I play a DSL100 HR and the amp kicks serious rump! People need to stop being such gear snobs. My entire life I have played on all types of gear and it doesn't have to be the oldest POS to be good. Many amps can pull of the old and the new stuff. They just want to say it's better because the useless amounts of money they have paid for it.

Absolutely... I have a greenJCM2000 DSL 100 head... sounds great. Gary Moore, Jeff Beck and Richie Sambora all thought it was good enough for them at one time or another. So it's good enough for us! 😃

No people don't have to stop being gear snobs. It's their money they can spend it how they wish . If they can afford and it makes them happy all the power to them . I don't get why people waste their time trying to convince others not to spend their money on what they like . Sounds like please don't buy vintage gear so I can feel better about the my gear Choices. Play what you like and don't worry about what others play .

I personally like it's lofi 80/90 PCM type sound, it sounds similar to my Yamaha PSS-790 and Roland SC-55 midi sound module. I would have certainly loved to have had something like this back in the day but new they were rather expensive, I just came across your videos of the Yamaha SK-100 after seeing it in a mail orger catalogue from 1995 which surprised me as the 70s and 80s was pretty much the heyday for electronic organs like this but this one is more like a Yamaha PSR styled like an organ as it only has one manual whereas most organs have at least 2 manuals. I hope somebody either bought it or buys it as in my opinion being a good keyboard player is more important than having the very latest keyboard, this one is too good to throw away because it's still fully working.

Um Gail she was playing a bass guitar. It has a low sound not like a rhythm or lead guitar. Have you any knowledge of guitars? Would you say that to Gene Simmons of Kiss? I don't think so. Bass guitars are low harmonious instruments unlike the lead and rhythm guitars which are higher in sound dear.

hello sir I ordered a Marshal vibratrem after I saw your review, have you made the the boss and marshall comparison?
@juancarlossanchezvillar7275 Жыл бұрын
don't understand how people can use a tremolo with distortion. This effect is to be added to clean things and get that nice, old sound from the 50's or 60's. I consider it a real aberration not to use it for this purpose. The issue is to get it just right so that it sounds the right way. I haven't been able to do it yet but I'm still working on it. It's not easy at all.
@juancarlossanchezvillar7275 Жыл бұрын
very good explanation and comparison. I also have a Marshall vibratrem and until now I had not seen a good video like this one you made. This effect must be used cleanly. people use it with distortions and that's not what this pedal is made for. I think it sounds very sweet to me, perhaps... but I think it's all a matter of finding the right point, which can take time. I have even thought about changing it for another one like the Boss TR-2 but after watching your video I might give it another chance. Even so, my vibratrem still sounds too sweet and plastic to me. What I don't quite get the good sound from is the vibrato. thanks for the video. a greeting from Spain.
