That happened several years ago with fox hounds. He ended up with his fence cut between every other post and a hay barn that got mighty hot. Ol’ boy had to go back to Colorado. Shame Shame!!!!!!!!!

Some of these comments are not justified. As the video tells about the past 30 years or so the neighbors were all in agreement with one another with everyone was allowed to hunt on this man’s property. Does that mean you can hunt on his and he cannot hunt on yours? regardless, the dogs were killed on yet another neighbor’s property and not his own so what was the justification for killing the dogs? Regardless, why were the collars destroyed? As soon as I heard the gun shots and no barking I would have been running to my dogs and most likely would have been able to retaliate to the person responsible. If he was also the same one that killed dogs years ago then he has an issue that goes deeper than dogs. The investigation may turn up other dirty deeds done by this asshole. I would love to meet a nice guy like this while I was hunting

If you had any respect for others rights this would not have happened. I love dogs but you cant hunt anywhere you want to.

So he could be a dog serial killer?! Why are some people like this?

Install fencing that a dog can’t get through with signs and warnings if they let the dogs continue coming through then what happens happens. There are two people at fault both landowners if you can’t control your dogs and you don’t put forth the effort to keep in touch with the neighbors it’s both sides fault. I’ll ask you once to control your dogs 2nd time will be a stern warning won’t be a 3rd. The key is COMMUNICATION!!

I did. I was behind that year and was preparing 3 acres to plant pumpkins in June. Didn’t do that again.

I remember growing up in Rural mountains in Virginia listening to the Beagles run. When the pack stopped by the house we set out water and a little snack for them to recharge. After 5 minutes or so off they go again. Diden’t know whose they were but loved them.

I'm saddened to hear this, What has the world come to? We've lost a few coyote dogs over the years, one just this past winter fell through the ice on a river and was swept away by the current. It's never good either way, and it's always the best dogs

As a landowner it is very frustrating when the hunter just lets his dog run through your property, especially when your bow hunting and they are coyote hunting. Dogs running through your property and watch the deer run out due to the dogs. Happens to me all the time. So we land owners do get frustrated when conservation says they can not do anything about.

Nothing worse than spending all the time and money to plant food plots and prepare for hunting season, and then somebody’s dogs come running across your private land and ruin your hunt. Dog hunters have zero respect for boundaries and it is time to end using dogs for deer hunting.
@LifeOfPaPaMark7 ай бұрын
I do agree with you to an extent. I don’t think deer hunting with dogs is allowed in upstate SC but rabbit dogs rarely get very far in front of the hunters before circling back to them. That being said, the shooter doesn’t own any hunting land and was trespassing on one of my other neighbor’s land. The neighbor where the dogs were killed didn’t mind that the dogs had crossed the creek.

Many years ago, I was a member of Quail Unlimited, we went to a WMA and planted food plots. This was supervised by the local DNR officers. That Fall, me and a buddy came back to hunt one of those plot. We were walking down one of the sides of this plot and the dogs dipped into the trees off to the side. Next thing we know we heard chickens, then a gun shot. We immediately started trying to recall our dogs. My dog came in, my buddies didn't. On the other side of that tree line was a house and a yard full of fighting chickens. We found my buddies German Shorthair dead no where near the chickens and a teen age girl with a 12ga. She was calling the Sheriff which was her uncle. DNR new there was a possible problem with that plot site and told us to work there.

Hunting with dogs is about gone in today's times. The land has been split up so much that it's almost impossible to keep from trespassing on others lands and that's not acceptable ether. Times change.

Sorry for everyone involved. My mother and I use to coonhunt until she got too old to be able too handle it. Since her passing I would love to get back into it but stories like this is becoming a regular thing no matter where a person lives. Dog hunters are usually very respectful of neighboring property, because a animal cant read posted signs sometimes they go onto posted land. Most hunters will quickly catch their dogs once their dogs enters another persons property, yea there is a few who are clowns. But in most states if not all hunters are allowed to gather their dogs on another persons land. In my state you just cant have a gun when doing so. In your case it hust sounds like you have a mean spirted person as a neighbor and you surely dont want him back anywhere on your land. Try and not punish all your neighbors for what one idiot done but if you do hang posted signs its understandable. Before anyone tries to claim well maybe the dogs were aggressive toward the guy, I dont think I have every seen a hunting dog aggressive toward another person because in most cases theyre use to different hunters handling them.

We have a state next to us that allows you to deer hunt with dogs, which I think is ridiculous. If your dogs run wild and cross the state line....they're dead !!! Great way to fk up a hunt to have dogs run through your blind.
