One thing I get so tired of with reaction videos and is probably a good reason why I need to stop watching them as much, is nobody can ever watch something from a neutral standpoint. They always keep acting like they are a part of the fictional world, like they can't tell the difference between reality and fiction. What this means is they end up being judgemental creeps about any character that doesn't fit their likes, and this show has a large number of characters you aren't supposed to "like" but are amazingly written, acted, and showcased in this show. Combine that with all the subtlety this show uses that the majority of people miss almost all of and it can make it really annoying how so many don't actually appreciate the huge amount of value this show gives in all it's different ways. It's a shame.

It breaks my heart when people try to label this movie as "The period movie" because the message is so much more than that. As you said, there's so many messages you can take from the movie that "eww little girl gets her period" is such a small minded view.

another secret meaning that not a lot of people catch on to is in the scene when the dad 'makes up a song about Coraline' and he drops some subtle hints like 'shes as cute as a BUTTON IN THE EYES of anyone who laid their eyes on coraline' and 'mother and i will NEVER EVER MAKE IT BORING' and lastly 'OUR EYES ARE ON CORALINE'

In fact league of legends has a lot of music that goes hard٫ they made one of my goth friends like a k-pop band٫ and she was genuinely so baffled by that. I remember when this movie came out. I loved it from the moment Nani turns and chases Lilo through the house. As the youngest, I related to Lilo so hard, especially that moment bc I've done the exact same thing; even licked my sisters a few times to get away. Like I get it was a moment of dramatic irony with the sequence cutting between the councilors agreeing on peace and the rocket launching- but the deal was hinging on the account that Silco handed over Jinx…. which he was not going to do. She may have fired the first shot, but there was always going to be a war brewing

40:29 I know!!! We were all bawling over Ray the first time we watched this, ur not alone! Also, I kind of like how Disney pulled off a meta-crossover with 3 movies, here. Ray joins Evangeline in the sky & their arrangement makes Evangeline the "second star to the right" i.e. the 'Neverland' star from Peter Pan (tho, Peter Pan is supposed to take place before Princess & the Frog, in the 1900s). And then there's that scene from The Lion King, where Timon & Pumba are arguing about what the stars actually are; Pumba guessed that they're giants balls of gas, billions of miles away, and Timon guessed "they're fireflies, stuck in that blue-ish black thing".

I started arcane at episode 7 I believe bc my sis was watching it on the tv and instantly fell in love with it I restarted and rewatched it from the start and now have been waiting around two and a half years for season two and I am soooooo excited!!!!!

Saw your short on it, but thought I'd comment here: don't feel too bad about the end of the Vi/Jayce vs the Chem tanks fight. The writers, animators, composers and musicians all conspired to pull the audience into that fight--arguably the coolest fight sequence in the season--exactly the way Jayce was. That way we get a taste of what he feels in that "oh shit "moment. It's brilliant work.

When I first saw this movie me and my friends were the only ones in the theater. And when Tadashi popped up I said aloud “If anything happens to the brother, I’m leaving.”. When Tadashi died I dead ass up got up and stomped away. 😂 I almost made it out the theater before coming back

I'm going to be honest I absolutely laughed the first time watching this scene when it released because that smack on the ground

this show does a tremendous amount to show that audiences can be incredibly accepting and supportive of females leads, and especially to this extent where so many leaders and pivotal characters are strong women, it just has to be done correctly and naturally. seriously - mel, sevika, jinx, vi, caitlyn, all of them are so incredibly well written, respectable, bad ass, and relatable even in events so traumatic and extreme.
