You are viewing Britain from the standpoint of a tourist .You didn't earn a living there , you didn't have to rush to work there. So as a tourist, naturally you would avoid the ugliness of the place and enjoy your precious time out in a scenic spot. Subscribed. I have been living in Australia for 20 years and I am in the same position as you. I feel so privileged to have the choice to choose where to live. I love my country China and consider Australia as my second home. China is nowhere near perfect but I am so proud that China has become what she is today. With the western world becoming so unsettled, I have discussed with my husband recently that we will take our son back to China if Australia becomes like those places in the west. I am so happy that I live in a beautiful country and have beautiful neighbors and friends, and also I have a great country to go back to. I am grateful for that.
