Does the training start with our own individual church congregations first? Do or should we include and or invite others from our local community to be apart of the discussions? If so, when and how?

Eugene, for resources, take a look at the September Kentucky Christian online. There are books listed that may help you out in a congregation and also links to resources. That is the in the reconciliation issue of the Kentucky Christian.

Is the training available for lay people? Other leaders in the congregations, e.g., Elders, Deacons, etc?

We plan to be able to bring some sort of training and conversations to congregations in the near future. But, this resolution is for the mandated training for pastors for standing. Stay tuned!

Do we have more specifics on the training on Jan. 19-20? Will it be 4 hours each day? Do we have a cost and when will registration be open?

Jackie, I was hoping someone with more knowledge than I would jump on here to the comments. From what I recall of the other two trainings, it was shorter on the second day. I think cost and registration will be available shortly after Saturday's vote.

I had the training in another region several years ago. Am I still required to have the training here?

I would imagine that will be determined on a case-by-case basis. I'm sure the Regional Staff will be able to help you.

@@stephaniemoon6294 There will be conversation around that with the committee on ministry. This is not something to trainers are prepared to answer. It will be as Stephanie says on a case by case basis.

@@lindajones4742 Thanks! Since Kentucky is coming to this late there may be a number of clergy like me who have done the training several times before coming here. Also, I am an NAACP officer in town, so I have lots of experience as well.
