I own it….. and I have never did anything but re tube and bias it with Mesa Boogie STRs and SP12AX7s in both slots and this amp became more than it started out as. The old RCA black plates were cool…. This amp contends with Mesa Boogie Recto…. And is more quiet on high gain with the Boogie Tubes. Amp is easy to bias and just take anywhere!! The clean channel takes pedals so well and I no longer use a noise gate with running all EarthQuaker pedals into this amp….. Best Buy ever!!!

I’ll try to do so soon though I am lazy. But to answer your question there is a lot where you can change the gain. Check it out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZawl5mgibGrbKcsi=Q7zwZ3fIqKJV5hq9

Nice video, thx. What do you actually mean by “clean and dirty channels”? Looking at the amp it looks like only one channel amp with volume and master volume. Can you better explain how you went from clean to dirty? Any other info would be greatly appreciated!!! I have an opportunity to obtain one of these amps at a good price. Thank you again.
@ceaseandexist3 ай бұрын
I miss spoke tbh. You’re right it’s really one channel-ish. Basically there is a boost button that almost seems like a second channel it it does as the name says and you end up with some nice gain sprinkled on your tone. Aside from the above the neat thing about this amp is the volume knob on the left acts like a tube amp in that the higher you turn it the more gain you start to add to your clean signal. Yet if you wanted to stay clean you keep the volume knob pretty low and you crank the master volume knob. Wish I had added pic of the knobs! Maybe I’ll do a second video.
