Welcome! It looks just fine in white: good period colour!

Good choice, with the white colour, looks great ,you did well with the bf 109, n gauge is small but takes up a lot less room , All the best Martin

Neat A40 and I like the Floride (flaw-reed) though it is French: you can't have everything! I got a red Cooper Bristol from the same series of early Dinky racers as your Talbot Lago, (Lah-go) for £3, I think, without tyres, but the casting was in great condition once the kid-paint was off it! I love that old stuff: good haul there!

Some very nice projects to do. Watch the videos by Corgi Bob and Martin Dare before you do the Batmobile. Those two guys are the experts.

G'day to you! This was one of my Favorite Dinky Toys when I was a Kid back in Manchester UK! Perth West Aust.

I’d restore all except the gun and vw split window bus. The parts for the Batmobile are not cheap. Watch others who have opened the Batmobile as the complicated parts can fly in all directions.

Very nice job with the restoration. Is this truck rare? My dad also got the same
@MeepsRestorationsАй бұрын
Hello Prodee, the dinky military ambulance 626 was produced in England from 1956 to 1961 so they are not a rare model and prices can very on these depending on the condition of the model. The one I restored in this video cost me £3 however I have seen boxed mint condition sell for £60 and in some cases more. Thank you for kind response and I hope this answers your question 😊

Were, original army trucks sprayed or hand painted when constructed at the factory. I imagine they were hand painted for repairs
@bobfellows5758Ай бұрын
Second question, i recon all military were painted Matt, not gloss. Is that correct
@MeepsRestorationsАй бұрын
@@bobfellows5758 that is a very good question and I do know the answer to that. Vehicles were sprayed on the production line but camouflage schemes would have been painted buy hand but if a spray gun was readily available then they would have been sprayed. 😊

Nice projects. I'd do the ambulance first, its a nice model. I've got one of those, mine's got the glazing in the cab windows, which I think is the rarer version. Keep up the great work 👍

Excellent video, don't knock it, you do great work, and I enjoy watching and it's always good to see a different ways of doing things ,and hand painting is a good way ,and you have demonstrated that perfectly. A video on the thinning and painting by hand would be brilliant, when you get sorted .the ambulance next .all the best Martin

Fantastic finds! That Exide Batteries bus is a rare find - very late issue on the plastic wheel hubs Personally I would leave the base on the Dunlop Trojan alone - an unusual example of Binns Road Dinky qualtiy control! The Trojan's come up fairly regularly in decent condition - but i bet you wont find another with the base on the wrong way!
@MeepsRestorationsАй бұрын
Thank you MrHupps and yes I will leave the trojan as it is 😊

Nice collection of Dinky toys. The old Hudson would be nice restored in original colours.the old Austin car was a great win .I remember an uncle owned one similar to this model I have the Dinky Studebaker in a maroon colour Always love the old Dinky trucks,they will look great restored. That Bedford could possibly be original, I have a number of Bedford Dinky trucks ,must admit I have not seen a tow truck like this but have over the years heard that there were tow trucks made by Dinky Great collection, looking forward to seeing the restoration videos

Some great little vehicles there. Looking forward to see them restored. That little wheelbarrow looks brilliant. Really liked the electric van.
@MrHupps933 ай бұрын
The dinky tanker is not a Type 1 as both the type 1 and 2 have an open chassis - this one has a closed chassis and ridges on the wheel hubs - prewar and immediately postwar versions had smooth hubs. So i suspect when the grille came out, its brought some of the casting with it to create the 'square' hole at the front - but other than the chassis and the hubs, the casting is the same as the early versions - so why not restore it in a pre-war colour scheme - they were much more striking and Blacksquare do the decals :)

Nice collection of models, I love the Dinky Toys Bedford vans and trucks, I've got some of those in my collection. I've also got loads of Corgi, Dinky, and Britains Farm models. I grew up on a farm and have worked on our farm all my life so I suppose that's the reason why I've collected so many farm toys. Great video, thanks for sharing your collection with us. Cheers. That road roller is looking really good, I look forward to seeing the finished model. I love those Dinky Bedford vans, I've done a few of them over the last couple of years in various liveries, I have a soft spot for Bedford trucks and vans. I also have one of those Dinky Commer breakdown trucks to do . Very best wishes. Peter.

Hello Peter, yes I have to admit I do like the bedford vans. I'm thinking of doing a sympathetic restoration by just removing and restoring the base plate and adding new wheels to the rear plus a new set of tyre's.

Excellent rebuild of the front bumper, I must get around to restoring a couple of them that I have. Would you be interested in a model donation? I have recently restored 2 Dinky Johnson Road Sweepers and have another in my stash which is fully complete and working, no damage, just the normal playworn scratching. It just needs a respray. You're very welcome to have it for your channel if you'd like it. Let me know. Best wishes. Peter.
