The last few seasons may not be my favorites, but man I cannot keep coming back to listen to the OST. So many brilliant pieces. From season 9 to 11 really has a lot of brilliant ones.

Although Dale's actor wanted out after Darabont's unfortunate firing, I still think it makes sense to kill Dale here. This is when the group started to make more morally questionable decisions, which further accelerates in Season 3 onwards. The things our group end up doing in later seasons would not have aligned well with Dale, and he wasn't exactly built to survive this world long-term. We have Hershel now, who would gradually become a voice of reason, so it'd have been redundant to have both Dale and Hershel at the same time. The two people Dale has the most chemistry with (good/bad) are Shane and Andrea. Obviously, Shane dies in the episode after Dale's death, and Andrea gets separated from the group at the end of Season 2. R.I.P. Dale 1x01 - 2x11

For me, this song is very nostalgic and reminiscent. Makes me think of all the times me and my friends would be walking out in the desert with the cold winter breeze. What I wouldn't give to do it again, just one more time.

Watched this episode today again. The first time I watched it was when it aired live and I was still watching the show in real time. I have a new appreciation for Eastman and his philosophy than I did all those years ago. I even just bought The Art of Peace so I can read it. Thank you TWD for this.
