My Childs mother had her boyfriend attack me while i was waiting to pick my child up, I conrtolled the situation and then got some distance. I then called the police, and they did nothing. Wouldnt even let me press charges. The next day i was served with a protection order, and havent been allowed to see my child since. Ive missed their birthday, thanksgiving and christmas now. I love our system.

if we offered a safe temporary section 8 house for victims of dv instead of hijacking the couples home. victimized men statistics would go down by a maybe 5 percent likely 95% for women. even higher if there was enforcedcriminal penalties for fraud.

Unfortunately,i have had to teach my child, grandchildren, and now great grandchildren to believe nothing a cop says. Nothing. One of my grandfather s was a sheriff,he died in office.my oldest uncle retired from the San Francisco Sheriff's office. My older brother was a deputy sheriff. They agree law enforcement has been compromised by Qualified Immunity. It has turned it into a haven for psychopaths & sociopaths.

I’ve always wondered about the two choices when someone is suspected of DUI. Option A: Take the breath test, fail, and face sentencing. Option B: Refuse the test, which typically results in an automatic DUI charge, an aggravated offense for refusal, and usually a one-year license suspension for first-time offenders. While refusing the test avoids providing hard evidence (like a BAC reading), how can a lawyer make Option B the best choice for their client?
@joemichael4511Ай бұрын
Where I live if you refuse the tests they give you a dui and you lose license for 1 yr

in Maine, you automatically lose your license for a period of time (275 days, the first time; goes up from there) if you refuse to take a breathalyzer test. Not exactly "no consequences." www.maine.gov/dps/node/128#

@@JohnKJV3-16 Your last statement is so wrong. There are so many cases where a driver is pulled over, arrested, and zero drugs or alcohol found in their system.
@JohnKJV3-16Ай бұрын
@ProphetofGermaine I've been driving for 40 years, and only been pulled over a couple times. Once for speeding, and once because the cop thought I was on my phone without a hands free device. The speeding ticket I deserved. I was doing 75, in a 55, accelerating, going to hill. They bagged me for 19 over, so I didn't have to drive 3 hours to go to court. And the other time, I didn't get a ticket, because I explained, and showed that I had a hands free device. I got off easy, because I didn't argue. So with you getting pulled over all the time, sounds like a you problem. Don't break the law, and you won't get pulled over.
@ProphetofGermaineАй бұрын
@@JohnKJV3-16 I’ll say this again you clearly haven’t had to deal with small town cops who have nothing better to do than pull people over for the slightest infraction. I’ve been pulled over for going 5 over. That’s not breaking the law buddy. However I don’t expect you to understand because you prolly huffed lead paint as a child. Congrats on your lucky traffic record I hope you have a wonderful day.

except in the places where a refusal is an automatic suspension or other punishment. I seem to recall at one time in wither Iowa or Missouri refusal to test was treated as an admission of guilt and was an automatic conviction.

@combswaterkotteАй бұрын
Its certainly possible, but the police cannot do that on their own. There is due process that has to happen in most states. You have to be convicted first, and there are a number of steps we can take to prevent that. Plently of holes in most DWI/DUI stops. More DUI info here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2WmiGp-gduCrtk

What purpose does lying during an investigation do? Reverse the Uno card and we, the public would be charged with different sounding crimes. Obstruction, LYING TO AN OFFICER, hindering an investigation and probably others I am not aware of. There is no room for LEO'S to lie to the public. What if they lie about someone dying as a result of an accident or incident? How is justice served? Pathetic and unacceptable, lazy behavior.

Louisiana has implied consent laws. So they’ll just get a warrant for blood. Not to mention if you have a chp, you’ll lose it permanently for refusing a field sobriety test. And thank god..because I don’t want drunk drivers on these roads.

Why on earth would they not be eligible to used as evidence. Social media enjoys no special status beyond any other form of communication.

I question this advice. If you refuse a breathalyzer test then Implied consent applies and it is an automatic one-year DMV suspension, and you can still be found guilty of DWI in court

@combswaterkotteАй бұрын
Correct. However, its important to remember that a charge does not mean a conviction. They can charge all they want, but the evidence and attorney arguments will influence whether or not it moves forward to a full conviction.
@meaCULPA-19852 ай бұрын
Ehhh… wrong kinda. Say you’re having a medical issue and they can take your blood once you’re in stable condition. This will give you time to clear yourself a bit. Of course if you’re hammered… you’re effed… but yeah: No to everything. Tell them to get a warrant for blood after they make sure you’re taken to the hospital (for a condition you also do t have to disclose). Call your attorney if you have one too at that point.

@richardphillips8260Ай бұрын
But you have to remember that getting a warrant to draw blood takes time. Lets say you believe you might be slightly over the limit, the time it takes for them to get a warrant to draw your blood might be enough time for the amount of alcohol in your system to drop below the legal limit

I thought they weren’t allowed to lie to you about legal consequences. For example, if they tell you you are going to be put to death unless you confess to this murder but if you do confess we will let you go home today, that’s absolutely illegal from my understanding. The same standards should apply to any legal repercussions, DUI or any other offense. I understand being allowed to lie about certain evidentiary things, and why it is sometimes necessary but that is just coercive.
@lakeriver3932 ай бұрын
Basically what you're saying is the police threatening and blackmailing for someone's life, that's different from lying. Actually a quite ridiculous comment
@IsaiahChapter53isAboutJesus4 ай бұрын
I know it sounds that way, but critical thinking shows the statement "I couldn't do this sober" does not mean that one is intoxicated. A sober person could say: "I can't do this sober," Just as the gentleman did in the video. If someone says; "I can't do this," do we automatically think their drunk? I sure hope not.
