It's the same size as the Citizen . It does wear on the small side so for anyone with larger wrists this is not for you unless you put it on a leather cuff strap . I bought one with the blue but I have very wide wrists & it looked to small on me . I gave it to my daughter & she's been wearing it for a year with no issues . I did buy a gold one & put it on a leather cuff strap aka Brad Pitt - Once Upon a Time in Hollywood & it looks great ! Cheers

Weeks went by. The boot was still stiff, and hurting my feet. Then months went by. They're finally broken in. Soft. Molded around my footsteps. But they don't get lighter. It's still a heavy boot. But then again, it's made with all leather. Many layers of leather. No poly-woven fibreboard, cardboard, foam....... Numzaan may be the best "cost to leather ratio" boot.

Love the iron ranger look. I think if the namzaan was able to match their lug sole with the color of the leather, like the iron ranger, they’d win in looks and comfort.

My old Red Wing are built with the cork nitrile soles stitched directly to the welt, without a midsole between the outsole and the welt. A lot more flex and easier to break in. It still took a few applications of oil, and weeks of wear. The Jim Green Numzaan has thick heavy leather all the way around. The stitchdown construction uses a double lasted process. There is a leather insole with a leather midsole, making for two layers of leather under the foot. Break in was hard. I used multiple coats of mink oil to soften the leather, and several weeks of wear. The Jim Green Numzaan was harder to break in. Comparing a Goodyear welt to a stitchdown is not really a comparison. With Goodyear welt, there is a layer of cork between the insole lasting board and the sole. With stitchdown construction, there is no cork filled void. They are both 6" boots. Both brands use proprietary leather, and time will tell if one leather is better than the other. Red Wing used to use a proprietary cork nitrile sole, which was very similar to the soles on Alden Indy Boots. Red Wing now uses a Vibram sole. Jim Green uses proprietary soles. Red Wing uses a Puritan stitch to assemble the pieces of leather. Jim Green has a single piece of leather for the upper. Red Wing's toe cap has 4 rows of stitching. Jim Green's toe cap has 3 rows of stitching. Both boots are different products. On my feet, both boots fit well, and are comfortable.

Nice video! I also got a pair of custom Razorbacks earlier this year. I had tried getting the same sole as you, but they don't offer it in my size... Opted for the Oringo off the African Rangers and have been very happy with it. I wouldn't worry much about going with the polywoven midsole. I've got a pair of vellies that I've put through just about every type of weather and hard wear for the past few years and it's held up great. The leather lasting board is definitely nice for shaping to your foot though! Thanks for giving an update!

Hi, thanks for the video. Looking at getting a custom pair of jim green steel toes for work. What would you say be the most comftable build? Im tossing up between razor back, rangers and these one. What soles and components would you go with for walking on conrete all day? Also has the squeeking stopped ?
@xplorsocal2222Ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! I like the Razorback and African Ranger because of the wide toe box and the padding around the ankle. The mini lug sole with EVA is very comfortable, the squeaking hasn’t gone away yet but only happens on polished concrete. The leather lasting board with poly woven midsole is a good combo for comfort and not adding too much weight to the boot. Good luck on your custom build!

JG value is insane, and I also want to point out the toe box room in my Ranger & Baobab is far better than the one Thursday Captain's I had and stopped wearing. Wide toe box and a bit more room in toe height is just better foot health; not just comfort. Probably will get a Numzaan in the future. Good video.

Here is what the dealer said. “Technician disconnected the alternator, the noise got quieter but could still hear the knocking. Technician then removed the drive belt to eliminate the water pump and power steering fluid pump. After removing the drive belt the knocking sound could still be hear, noise is coming from the bottom of the engine (oil pan).” I also took the belt off and got the sound but I put a stethoscope down by the oil pan and did not hear the noise, was not able to find the noise with the stethoscope but was my first time using one.
