Hey hey! I made this one this morning. I started by curiosity and before I knew it, it was almost completed so I made the last miles and here it is! I knew Jim Mullen for his amazing single soloing but I found his album "Thumbnail Sketches" which contain many great chord melodies. I'll probably make more in a near future but for now here's his "I Can't Get Started" arrangement. His harmonic choices makes me think a lot of Kenny Burrell. Most bass notes are played with his thumb. Have fun!

I like how there are a couple minor mistakes in this, but he kept them in. He probably had a perfect take note-wise, but it didn’t feel as good as this one. This piece just makes me feel everything.

Hey Francois, have you checked out Andy Brown? He’s doing some really beautiful solo playing these days. He has a live performance of Favela on here that is fantastic.

Hey hey! Just a little correction/edition to end the month. It was one of the first Brazilian guitar transcription I made and the transcription is still very popular on KZbin so It was time for a little make over. I watched a few live performances closely to solve some of the 'mystery'. I'ts the closest to the real thing I can do for now. Enjoy!

Here's one that was voted by my Patreon members in this month's poll. John Collins was mostly known for his work in the Nat King Cole trio but I found a solo album from him and it's great. If I had to describe John Collins playing I would say; It is some pretty straight forward classic jazz guitar, but there's a bit of everything so it makes good study material. I wrote the Misty 'standard' chord progression so you can do the analysis yourself. Enjoy!

This shows a fully and richly developed sense of harmony and composition. It's a truly gorgeous example of harmonic exploration and development of the beautiful melody of the Beatles' Yesterday.

Have you seen all these YT videos showing who is ‘the best’? And all the delusional reactions?? It’s embarrassing. Yeah they are fast and play modes and shred and blah blah blah…but Ed is pure taste, class, timing and understated in his playing. That’s what sets him apart. He is alone in his craft..just like all smart, intelligent people. Crowds of similar players not required. He don’t care. He does his own thing and it always stands out from the crowd.
