You may want to also try " Deeds of Arms and Chivalry. A houndred years war ". It's still not finished but it's a ambitious project. It still has to finish on a bunch of dialogues, add more units and maybe even expand the map a little bit. It has a bunch of unfinished features but it's worth to try out. I've been having a blast with it for the last 2 weeks

i heared mount and blade 1 is aproject by passionated married couple almost without money. taleworlds dont want us to know this it seems. bannerlord took 10+ years and millions of dollars and dozens of people who producted bannerlord

Mount and Blade was the idea of Armağan Yavuz. Later, she married İpek Yavuz and they developed the game together. This small project turned into a game that sold hundreds of thousands.

Currently playing diplomacy and i have successfully married lady isolla of suno and i can make marshalls and make my own vassals from companions. I can also make diplomacy with my other kings on my own such as peace, prisoner exchange, trade agreement and more. Try it out. Also restarting brytenwalda. Beware in brytenwalda you can murder captured lords. You kind of have to murder lords and kings without land because they will never stop trying ro take yours. Like you will have to fight then alone because the kingdom isnt at war just you. So others wont fight them with you

War of the Roses is a great game but had hackers and dev eventually went to sleep. It just had a steep learning curve with the customization and perks. People were frustrated because they blamed hitting an enemy with the pole of their polearm on bad hit detection, called easily breakable convex grind weapons cutting through plate armour as spam and unrealistic (all you had to do is hit that sword once with your weapon and it breaks), and blamed Jupon + mobility perk as speed hack. It was too easy for skilled players who got past the learning curve and build system to entrench themselves and slap newcomers effortlessly, resulting in lack of players. Other than that it was great.
