That would be difficult! You can turn all permanents into enchantments with Enchanted Evening and all creatures into forest lands with Ashaya, Soul of the Wild. Then all permanents become artifacts with Mycosynth Lattice. So then if you control a Gideon Blackblade, he would be a creature on your turn and also a planeswalker… and also then a land, artifact, and enchantment. So that worked off the top of my head! Probably other ways to do the same though

I have added Aetherflux Reservoir since making this video but ehhh now I am thinking MOM is better option and the pan as a budget version. Or if you want to win by swinging big dudes, the Hunger Dominus works ;)

Hey good question. It can get confusing but an easy way to think of it is in the order of the words the super type comes first, then type, and finally subtype. So, think of how it divides “legendary snow” | “artifact creature” | “food dragon”. But that is a lot of text of a card though so doubt they would print that. Equipment and auras becomes attached to creatures. Not aware of any clue or food equipment, but might be some weird way to give those subtypes to all artifacts. Golden Egg and Gingerbrute are food creatures, so they are unique like that. Some older creature types have been rewritten to be more consistent. Check the Oracle text, not the printed. Even some were printed without a creature subtype altogether but they always do have one now. Like Clockwork Swarm is actually an insect creature, even if the printed card doesn’t say it. Arcane is a subtype of instant and sorceries only really used for “splice into the arcane” effects. Tribal only has 55 cards and apparently was too confusing to continue printing. But they matter for some interaction, like you could use Faerie Harbinger to search for Faerie Trickery. I wouldn’t expect too much from Tribal since it’s largely abandoned. According to the new Atraxa, Grand Unifier, “battle” is a card type, but it doesn’t list Tribal. That’s led to some rumors battle is the new name for it? Wizards has moved to being more inclusive and “tribe” is not as PC…

@@CrabTribe This is in reference to the new atraxa, yes, because she specifies card type, not super type or subtype, it now creates a system where what is important to the card is different than what is listed in the reminder text. How would a new player expect to understand snow is a super type and not a card type, the simplest answer is a card type is mandatory and defines the actions of the card, even if the aspects of creatures, artifacts, sorceries, enchantments and lands start to get mixed together. My example of a "food dragon" is relevant, though I agree the text on the card would be too long, there are effects that add text to the card by changing its aspects or parameters. coat of arms is another example where you may have 100 food tokens but 1 ginger brute and 1 changeling, that changeling plus the ginger brute would get +1/+1 and so would the changeling, or would they get +101/+101 for each food, while the food tokens are not creatures until turned into creatures by an animate artifact effect. Thank you for taking the time to reply, I am also having a hard time understanding the difference between poisonous, infect and toxic.

@@skaven969 "Food" is an artifact subtype, not a creature subtype, so Coat of Arms wouldn't work that way. I probably should link this in the description, but here's an official list of all the subtypes to help: mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Creature_type I could do another short video on the difference between toxic, poisonous, and infect! But very quickly... infect replaces combat damage to creatures with -1/-1 counters and to players with poison counters (10 of which and they lose). So if a 5 power creature with infect deals damage to a player, instead of 5 damage they receive 5 poison counters. Toxic is essentially a renaming of the older "poisonous" (only printed on 2 cards), where the combat damage also triggers poison counters equal to the toxic value. So, a creature with Toxic 5 will trigger 5 poison counters upon damaging a player, even if it only deals 1 combat damage. Though it doesn't affect other creatures at all...

I wonder why toxic is used and poisonous is not, I would think poisonous would have been easier to use, but as it stands it seems possible to give a creature all three abilities, creating a creature with toxic, poisonous and infect

Sure! It's not legendary. But the creature copy Mishra makes would still enter tapped because that's in the text of the original. You could use a card like Manifold Key to untap it the same turn though.
