They just needed to make the story longer but they did it in a ridiculous way. Random guy brings a woman to the hospital and orders the surgeon to abort the baby??? They didn’t even bother explaining that he owned the hospital or some plausible. Apparently we’re supposed to believe the doctor would just go along with it because he’s obviously a CEO. They also made the ML an ass for no reason after they already showed how he reacts when he’s jealous and it’s not to act like a psychopath.

One can only hope China doesn't teach this drama's moral to its society....because there is zero chance an American woman would every give an abusive, absentee ML husband who tried to kill their unborn child because of his pride...a second chance...what would we do? Send him to jail and sue him for every penny and ensure the country was aware of his transgressions...if my German mother were around, she would also ensure ML could not longer father future children and retain the full use of his limbs.
