Why we like Scott so much? 1. Awesome phrasing 2. Cool rhythmic motifs easy to follow 3. Inteligent tension build ups And what is most important: he can leave pauses, which is not so obvious among us guitarists ;)

My favourite guitar solo ever. The way he plays with the feedback to add to the melody of the solo is sublime. The tone and note choice are impeccable.

Those Lyrics for a time like this......and the soul, Robin on his best, great song. Love the bassist for his "cords" under his solo.

Talented from birth, did the hard work to get guitar playing really under his skin, never been afraid to cross into new territory, and has worked with a diversity of artists. Enjoys playing in actual "conversation" with other players. Got this three-piece together, and I'm crossing my fingers he'll do that again. Music lovers are extremely lucky to have him and his likes.

Frightening! Even when you study his licks and style and approach and listen to his great tutorials, there is no way to even get started to play like that. It's in his wiring. My favorite all-time guitarist.

The only other guitar virtuoso I'd compare him with in terms of sheer talent and creativity is Jeff Beck. Creativity is off the scale and out of this world. Yes, there are lots of amazingly talented and creative players, but Scott Henderson's playing is nothing short of mind-blowing amazing. Tribal Tech for that matter was revolutionary in the world of fusion. Consistently jaw-dropping amazing.

Man! I saw Toss play live at the Blues fest in Portland in the early 2000s.. he's never left my memory. Saw this thumbnail and said "IS THAT TOSS behind ROBBEN!?!?"

The fact that Henderson is not as much a household name as other fusion players like Metheney, McLaughlin, & Beck is just criminal! What a master of phrasing!

He was an instructor at GIT when I was there, '85 to '86. He was always so mind-blowing with creative ideas and unending chops. I also was able to see him live in certain settings that he was involved with at the time. Saw him with Jeff Berlin and Vox Humana way back then. Steve Smith on drums and T. Lavitz of the Dregs on keyboards. This tune here, amazing stuff! So hip of an approach to his phrasing!
