Got mine done yesterday 8/5/24. My doctor put me under anesthesia. What led to this was I got an iud inserted and my body pushed it out within a month. She (my doctor) wanted to make sure I didn’t have anything obstructing the way for the iud so we set a date for a hysteroscopy. I did have a polyp that she removed and will be testing. And then the IUD was inserted. I came to, was given medical grade fentanyl (2 doses) because I was in a lot of pain. And told to take OTC medication. So far (me writing this on day 2) I’ve not had extreme pain in my uterus. Only my throat where I was tubed to help me breathe during the procedure.
