18/09/15 - I was considering the Merida Big Nine XT Edition for the entry level uphill mountain racing but decided to go with the Specialized Crave Comp and both were the same value around $1,900.00

+Thomas Halbrainer Neither are the "brakes". Actually, I have a 2013 XT Edition that only came with lower Shimano brakes, but upgraded to XT within a few months.
