The title "The Antikythera Mechanism" is brilliant, for it draws you in through curiosity before the song even begins. Thank you for explaining what the mechanism was Vakasa, for you saved me having to google it. 🙏😊 I may not be across all the technical aspects of what I've listened to, but one thing I know is I loved it!!! ❤ From the few songs I have listened to from Nightwish, they certainly take you on an epic journey. And there is always light and shade in their music, in terms of the dynamics with it being loud and soft. In parts it's intense and very powerful, yet it uplifts and energises you. But then it slows right down so you can take a moment to catch your breath, to take in and feel what is truly captivating. I think at this point Tuomas could write and compose anything and it would be a one of a kind masterpiece. I feel his lyrics at times are almost majestic, yet always profound and very deep. It's one of those videos that didn't need imagery, for the lyrics alone ignited your imagination and had you deep within your thoughts and feelings. The musicality of the band was quite simply stunning, while Floor's vocals took the performance to a whole other level. 🥰 Thank you for another wonderful Nightwish reaction and breakdown of the lyrics Vakasa. For I enjoyed listening to your perspective on them, and also well done on pronouncing those words!!!👍😊 I hope you are doing well for I've had a pretty good week so far. Take care with much love and blessings. 😊🙏❤

Hi Vakasa and everyone 👋 😊❤ Fantastic request Dean👍 I love this album, so many gems! Correct me somebody if I am wrong, but I believe all but 2 songs were written by Goble. Only Help, which we all know was Lennon and McCartney, and Jillie's Song, which John wrote himself (another beautiful love song) were not by him. This is a deep song incredibly written by Goble, but only John could project the emotion of those lyrics ❤ I always thought it had a little ABBA sound to it. I could imagine it be a collaboration with them 😅 I love the key change two thirds in, a nice boppy sound. Thanks Vakasa. My last request is also from this album so I hope you enjoy that just as much when you get to it. Take care everyone and catch you in the next one 😊🙏 ❤❤

I loved the skit for it was very funny, and I'm sure he took that new truck and thrashed it by doing burnouts until the tyres were no longer new but bald! 😂 And those words "...I hate rich people too...now I need something brand new..." are not so subtle yet many would consider true. For I think the skit set the tone for the entire song. I enjoyed the song a lot and when it started the first thing that came to mind was that it was "doof doof" music with a heavy beat. A beat which I thought really complemented JustTrae's rap flow which was fantastic. Especially when he switched into that fast and more intense flow. 🔥 Also I thought his rhythm sounded really smooth. A lot of rappers like to flash their money and shiny toys, for it represents status to them. That's why I admire JustTrae for he is the complete opposite. Through his lyrics he tells his story which shows how humble he is and that he keeps it brutally honest and genuine. For you can feel that it's delivered from the heart. It's real life music that many people including myself can connect to in parts, unlike a lot of that mainstream hip hop music today, which I find has no substance and lacks a great deal of credibility. Thank you so much for your reaction Vakasa and especially the breakdown of the lyrics. If you didn't do that I would miss so many of them, which would be a shame given how good they are. I hope you have a great night with much love and blessings. 😊🙏❤

Such a beautiful song, thanks Vakasa for doing this and giving us your usual intelligent and accurate insight to these beautiful lyrics. John did a great job with this, although apart from this version I hadn’t heard anyone else sing this. The song had that old time feel to it with some 70’s grove throughout, and those beautiful backing vocals. I thought John put his stamp on this one, starting out nice and chilled singing with that angelic tone of his but as the song progressed he started upping the vocals to convey the emotion in the song, and with some teasing of some lower level belting we all know and love John for. He gave this song grace, feeling, emotion, power and meaning, everything this song should have had and deserved. I’m glad you liked this one too Vakasa and hope everyone else did too. Thanks again for this one, it’s just another example of how versatile John can be with the songs he chooses to sing, he always does them justice and puts his own bit of magic to them. Hope you are all doing well and especially hope you’re hanging in there Heidi and just take one day at a time.

Every reactor makes that mistake about Abbott and Costello thinking of the duo comedians but it wasn’t that. I’m glad that you got the information while reacting. 😊I’m commenting as I’m watching it 😂. Because Abbott and Costello were being hard on allowing illegal immigrants into our country the immigrants started throwing their kids overboard so we had to rescue them. It was bad.

This lyric video was absolutely amazing!!! I love butterflies and what they symbolise, so to see faux butterflies it caught my attention. But really all of the imagery was spectacular and it complemented the music and lyrics to perfection. To me it was a lyrical masterpiece which had been written and composed by the genius himself Tuomas. His lyrics are stunning, so poetic which I really like for they capture so much emotion that it moves you. ❤ The band was epic for I loved the loud metal sound from the heavy beat, the guitars and pounding of the drums which gave me that cinematic vibe, while the softer music with the orchestral strings was very melodic and quite haunting. One things for certain it most definitely ignites all your senses, for it gave me chills. Then you add in Floor's exceptional vocals which are always so powerful, although in this song they were at times quite ethereal and hypnotic. I must say when the chorus came in it gave me goosebumps. I also very much enjoyed the change up in the tempo of the music, especially at the end where it was most serene with perhaps the pan flute or some other pipes playing. It felt meditative like flotation therapy. Thank you Vakasa for a terrific reaction and breakdown of this lyric poetry, for it was most interesting to hear your thoughts. For while the lyrics were beautiful, to me at times they were a little cryptic and had me baffled. Take care with much love and blessings. 😊🙏❤

Wonderful reaction and breakdown of the performances Vakasa, and what a great request Heidi, this entire event was awesome. The Olivia and Anthony duet was so so good, Olivia’s voice sounded so magical like when she first started out so to hear her beautiful voice in such pristine condition was so great and such a beautiful song also. I have always loved Anthony warlow’s voice but have only ever heard him do opera, which is no surprise because he’s an opera singer but to hear it like this, idk how to explain it, like a more normal tone or something was incredible. His voice in this genre was amazing, which shouldn’t be a surprise because he is so talented anyway. Vakasa you’re correct that every time John does “help” live its always a little different than others, it’s like well today I feel like doing it this way, next time another, depends on what I feel like on the night. Whatever the case may be, when ever John sings his arrangement of this classic song it’s going to be awesome. I hope you can and are able to do the version of this song on my list because he does the Beatles version and his version back to back so make for a great comparison. All the best to you Heidi and hope things are going ok for you ATM and congratulations to you Vakasa on your journey without addiction.

Thank you so much Dean I knew you would enjoy it! 🙏😊 I loved reading your comment and you're absolutely spot on Dean. Yes Olivia's voice was most definitely "magical", for it was as warm as her heart. I also admired the way Olivia always carried herself with such grace and dignity, for she will never be forgotten! 💖 I wish you luck with the version from Chain Reaction where John does The Beatles followed by his arrangement. Given the MSO got copyrighted, that one will definitely get blocked too. That's why I said to you in a previous comment that I would send this version for I thought this had the best chance of going through. So now we've done Help three times! I had a specialist appointment last Thursday and unfortunately it didn't go well. Sadly my condition continues to head in the wrong direction, with the likelihood according to my specialist that it will go back into remission very slim to not at all. He asked me if I still had private health insurance and if it was up to date, so that says it all damn it! I'll leave it there for now for you know how it is Dean. *"LOVE IS A GIFT" - A priceless and valuable gift to cherish! ❤😊* This was such a beautiful love song sung by Olivia (R.I.P) 🕊 and Anthony, who I think of as two kindred spirits. For they shared a really lovely friendship having been there to support each other during their cancer battles. 💖💚 There was no denying the chemistry they had in this performance, for you could feel their warmth and genuine connection. I loved the range and tone in Olivia's vocals for while it was soft and angelic, there were moments when she went up into her higher register and showed her power and control. While Anthony's vocals were as technically brilliant as ever for he is a classically trained lyric baritone. I also think he has the ability to effortlessly capture the emotion of a song like very few artist's can, not too dissimilar to John. I had the privilege of seeing Anthony perform in Phantom of the Opera as "The Phantom" and he blew me away, for he was mesmerising. Overall Olivia and Anthony's performance was truly captivating, for it made me smile and it touched my heart. Although Olivia no longer being here to bless us with her sweet voice did make me shed a tear. That's why these videos are so special for they provide us all with so many memories to treasure. 🥰 *"HELP" - Reach out your hand to someone in need! ❤* I thought this was our best chance of getting a live performance of "Help" for as we know the MSO version got copyrighted. And given this song followed Love is a Gift I was hoping for that reason it would slip through and not get blocked by YT. As for John's performance of The Beatles cover "Help", I think the arrangement and the emotion in his vocals speak for themselves. Anthony and John are great friends so for him to come in at the end just seemed right, for me it was the icing on the cake. If I were to take part of the title from the previous song then "John is a Gift"!!! He's a one of a kind artist and human being who has stood the test of time having transcended generations with his gift of an amazing voice ("The Voice"). Not to mention his countless amazing live performances which have touched us all, and will remain in our hearts forever! 🥰 Thank you Vakasa for a wonderful reaction, for I'm glad you enjoyed the songs as much as I did. Although I must say the lyrics and your thoughts on these songs did get me a little emotional, but happy as well. Hey Heidi great choice for a reaction to these three Aussie icons and you were spot on with everything you said. John is so incredible live it’s scary. I’ve heard people say and would definitely agree when they have said John sounds better live than most artists in the studio. I think he sounds better live than he or anyone does in the studio, and remember a lot of the performances we’ve seen from John are mostly prior to mid 90’s, before auto tune and all the wizardry that could be done in the background. @@beresfordthompson1370Thank you Dean you're most welcome. 🙏❤ I also wholeheartedly agree that John is even better live than in the studio. For his eyes truly reveal the genuine love that he has for us, his fans. Also those twinkling eyes will invite you in and take you on a journey where he has your heart and captivates you to the end. That look can't be faked for the eyes don't lie. Also seeing John live you get the ad libs, jokes and the tricks which always make it one hell of a show.
