would you happen to know the name of that part, while doing this on my Family’s Sedona i noticed that the medal part on the switch is broken on ours.

How do you know the part is broken? I got the usual dashboard lights and the error code from the check engine, is it safe to assume the part is likely broken?

Can the actuator be taken out and replaced, instead of buying the whole assembly? I can't find very much information about that.

I tried to bend this but couldn't get in there very well. I bought some tweezers to try to bend it up, but it broke off. You don't happen to know the smallest unit of a part that can be replaced on that, do you?

THANK YOU! I was about to pay my mechanic $145 for 1 hr. of labor to install the part that I bought. Following your instructions; it literally took me 20 minutes start to finish to do a clean install in my driveway. And it works like it's supposed to.

A couple things: injectors weren’t stuck open, because when they do they melt pistons 100% of the time. Also, #1 piston is up front, not in back. Unfortunately you don’t know shit. I pity the sorry son of a bitch that owns the truck you worked on.

What were the symptoms? Mine is only able to run at high idle(and sometimes piston slaps), and pistons slaps at a normal idle. I'm wondering if it's due to timing issues. The whole upper end is new due to a thrown valve. Thanks

It is quite a bit of work but probably saved me over $1000 by not taking it to a mechanic. Four #50 torx bolts to remove the seat. Had a friend help me place it on a protective cover on the back seat. Only pulled up the carpet under the drivers seat itself and propped it up with a 12" 2X4 exposing the wire bundle. After removing the bundle from the plastic ribbed cover I still couldn't see the connection. Removed all of the electrical tape from the bundle and found the connection with some kind of a cloth cover. Removed the cloth and the connection was totally corroded. YOU'RE LOOKING FOR THE PIECE OF CRAP CONNECTOR LINKING THE TWO TAN/WHITE STRIPED SERIAL DATA WIRES. These data wires communicate between the door locks and power windows from the drivers side door module to the other 3 doors. Which is why I was able to activate the drivers window and door lock with the driver door switch but not the other 3 doors. The connector is about half way between the power seat bundle coming through the carpet and the plastic bundle cover near the drivers door. I cut out the connector and stripped the wires, soldered some 18 guage speaker wire to the data wires and everything works great now. Hope this helps

I agree about unhooking the reverse switch but not the seat. My neighbor who is handicapped fell off his tractor that had the seat switch unhooked and the tractor circled around and he couldnt move out of the way and it ran over him cutting off his arm at the wrist. So sad just be careful everyone.

Just adjusted this piece this morning, lol. Thanks, man. I’ll have to bend the piece to adjust it. My shifter would engage without applying the brake. So, I kind of bent that piece up and it works fine now. Actually, I’ll keep this solution in mind if the other one fails. Thanks again!

Thanks for the info on the reverse safety shut-off! It took me a minute to find the lever, but once I found it what you were showing in the video it was so self-explanatory. I put on 3 zip ties instead of two.... I fastened them through the hole in the lever down to the rod. Was rough getting my hands in there! THANKS!!!!

Yup, did something similar to my old 2166 years ago by simply unplugging the wires, didn't even have to connect the wire ends together just taped them off. Sure makes mowing more efficient for sure.
