do you remember the dimensions of the fabric you used? i have a 2005 accord sedan and was going to do the same thing but i don’t have any arts and crafts stores near me so im planning on ordering on amazon and don’t want to get something thats too small
@thewayididit66419 күн бұрын
I do not recall the length I bought but the width is the standard roll itself. So, however wide the roll is manufactured is how wide it is. I made it long enough that I cut off a few feet of extra length. So, I reccomend getting about 12ft. Hope this helps.

There are several things to check... 1. Fluid level 2. Change filter 3. Hydraulic valve flow 4. Pinched hose 5. Rebuild cylinders 6. Check for leak 7. Watch valve for leaks as u actuate the pedals I'm in the process of rebuilding my valve. It's a pain to get out. I'd check it last. If it's just the arms, I'd look at everything from the valve on. Anything before the valve is all common and should be ok. Make sure nothing is blocking your pedal. That's happened to me. Let me know what you find.

So you had the exact same problem as I had. The issue for me was one side where it attaches to the wall was not tight. There was no stud or anything to attach it to in the wall so the “track” was away from the wall and causing the door to be out of square. I’m mounting a reinforcement on the ceiling and pushing the enclosure into place with a fabricated bracket. Thats just me. I love your comment “quality is job 1”. No matter what brand or level of rv you buy, they’re all built like this with no give a damn which is so disappointing when you buy these things for big bucks. Thank you for posting this quality video…you’re really good at it!

Where does the red wire go? The little red one that says if not attached won’t work, just straight to the positive battery terminal?
@thewayididit66412 ай бұрын
If you watch from the 14min mark, I explain where this goes. If you pause at the 15:57 mark, you can see the little red wire going under the boot. Hope this helps. While you're watching, hit subscribe!

@@thewayididit6641 ok. Just moving the hole over fixed it correct? I heard you mention putting the screw in a diffrent spot on the topper. Does that also effect the way the door was sagging?
@thewayididit66412 ай бұрын
Moving the hinge point was the bulk of the solution. As I fastened the top cover, I held the walls flexed in such a way that the door gap wasn't forced back into the same position it was before, but rather a position that kept the gap equal. The I put the screws in a different location. I did everything by myself; I suggest you get another set of hands to help if possible. They don't need to be strong, just able to reach the top of the walls.

NAPA should have them. Most auto parts stores should also. The pipe I used as an extender is from the local metal yard. You could also use rigid conduit that the local electrical supplier should have. Good luck.

Under the lower support arm near where it bolts to the sub frame. I make sure they are placed to seat into the contours of the arm as much as possible.

Have a code? If so, the code is prolly accurate. No code? Its the computer not sending the signal to the solenoid. Try cleaning all connectors and pins. After that, pack them with dielectric grease. Im assuming it only does this sporadically.

Ive used it to pull vehicles, trees, and a huge rock up a hill. I use it with the block everytime. It does the job with no more loading than i would expect. My next pull will be stumps, no too big. I think thats the real test.

Found this video after I had did this same thing. Except I mounted the relay to the inside of one of the handle post. And omitted the battery disconnect, since the winch isn’t hard wired to a battery, there wasn’t a need for it.
@thewayididit66415 ай бұрын
Ive used mine on several vehicles, i like the setup being mobile. The only reason i added the disconnect, even though you're correct, it's not needed, is to avoid shorting while connecting to and disconnecting from the battery.
@timothyboone50035 ай бұрын
That makes sense. At least you noticed the issue with not enough clearance to connect the blue wire before mounting the winch on the plate. I learned the hard way. Same as with the fairlead.

Can you put a grapple attachment on the 453 ? If so how would you control movement of them as on mine I have the 2 foot pedals controlling lift and tilt and the 2 hand levers contolling front back movement of machine.
@thewayididit66418 ай бұрын
Watch the video; pause it at 20 seconds. On the right side (actual left) of the swing arm, you will see a bracket covering my aux attachments. The right control lever can be moved left and right in addition to forwards and bbackward. If you lift the cab and take a good look at the base of the level, you can tell it pivots. However, there is a bolt in place to prevent the left/right movement. I assume this is for when the aux's aren't connected. Do you have the two fittings on the left side of the swing arm?
@dony.90148 ай бұрын
@thewayididit6641 I have to look if I have the auxiliary hook ups . The machine is at the farm when I get a chance I will look and get back to you. So where did you get the attachment and what did it cost you if you don't mind? That's the only thing I need for my little workhorse yet.
@thewayididit66418 ай бұрын
I dont actually have one. I have to borrow one from a friend.
@dony.90147 ай бұрын
On my 453 I have the brackets where the auxiliary hydraulics would mount so I am just wondering if all I'd have to do would be run some hoses from the control unit at base of right lever? Only thing is the machine can only lift about 700 lbs. then back wheels are lifting off the ground and only has a reach of 7-8 ' high. I am thinking maybe I would be better off putting a grapple on my L - 2550 Kubota get a mechanical one then need nothing except grapple . Guess you just have to weigh the good and bad of each.
