What did you film this on? How did you get the flying shot in first person and the tracking shot on the bicycle? I’m on Xbox and trying to make my own short film.
@Moimus
@Moimus Жыл бұрын
I filmed it on PC but I'm quite sure you can do the same on Xbox. I made the flying shot by turning into a bat and just going into first person view. The tracking shot was pretty easy too, just hop on a bicycle and record while not touching the camera controls. You have to play around a little with the camera settings in the menu but it's pretty easy

@@MrKyleboywonder glad you like my videos and yeah I'd love to make some more videos like this as I made a pilot episode for a series but at the moment it's quite hard to find the time because I got a full-time job and I'm bound in some side projects. But once they're done I'll be back to making LW videos 😁 Of course, you can write me whenever you want but please be patient because it might take awhile for me to reply

@@Moimus I just attempted to make my first short film on Xbox in Lego Worlds tonight with a buddy online. It was a disaster. First off, it was very challenging only having one other person to use as an extra. I had to use one of the “store mannequins” as a stand in for some shots and it was quite obvious. This is due to the fact that the game doesn’t allow you to set down characters without them randomly wondering around. Second, the name tag wouldn’t turn off for his character so it kinda ruined the effect. “The Bat” idea for a first person angle worked great, except for the fact that I had to constantly adjust my angles and continuously go in and out of the menu to turn off the HUD. Lastly, the time it takes to download the Xbox Game Recording to my App, then to my phone, and then to IMovie is SUPER time consuming… 🤦🏻‍♂️ It was truly a disaster and so disappointing, because I truly had so many great ideas to work with. I even drew a 2 page storyboard today of an “Undead Nightmare” style story I was developing. If you have any future tips or ideas please let me know. I really admire how you made yours and I wish I could find a simpler solution on console since I’m not a PC gamer. Thanks.

it wasn’t easier for you to throw this script with steam so that you don’t have to deal with various sites .. ?!
@Moimus
@Moimus 3 жыл бұрын
This video is a tutorial on how to write your own script not a showcase. Putting it on steam would motivate people to copy paste the script and complain that it's not working. The purpose of this video is to get a basic understanding of scripting and I don't want to be bothered with constant support request

Hiya, I was checking out your blend files, and I was wondering. Did you create lights for each torch and then parent them to it? I want to make sci-fi/cyberpunk types of maps using Blender, but am unsure about How to properly light scenes (especially Overhead lights), and would appreciate any tips you might wish to share.
@Moimus
@Moimus 3 жыл бұрын
hi, i know it's pretty late but work kept me busy "^^ . but in case you still want to know how to do lighting i would recommend to watch some tutorials. i learned a lot from channels like ducky 3D or imphenzia about blender. or just google something like "how to light in blender". If you're still a beginner: have fun going down the rabbit hole ;)
