2:04 is that Cutter Singleton? I went to the Industrial Strength Bluegrass Festival in Wilmington, Ohio last week. [Nov. 2024]. Amazing musicians. The Kody Norris Show and Cutter & Cash and the Kentucky Grass bands are great entertainers. This festival is hosted by Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers. I highly recommend this festival.

There is music in my soul Verse 1: There is music in my soul While from my lips hallelujah’s role Since Jesus loose my bonds And gave me sweet release Tossed no more upon life’s wave Since Jesus all my sins, forgave For now He reigns within my heart The Prince of Peace Chorus: There is music in my soul (There is music ringing) Let the glad hallelujah’s role (in my soul) All along my pilgrim way my song of praise (All along my pilgrim way my song of praise) I sing (Joyfully sing) My savior set me free (For my savior set me, and He is so good to me) Now all the way, everyday, I will make His praises ring (Now all the way, everyday, I will make His praises ring) [Gladly Ring] Verse 2: There is music in my soul Since by His blood I have been made whole And now I try to live like Jesus every day So that all the world may see The blessed Christ revealed thru me And that I may a blessing be upon life’s way Chorus: There is music in my soul (There is music ringing) Let the glad hallelujah’s role (in my soul) All along my pilgrim way my song of praise (All along my pilgrim way my song of praise) I sing (Joyfully sing) My savior set me free (For my savior set me, and He is so good to me) Now all the way, everyday, I will make His praises ring (Now all the way, everyday, I will make His praises ring) [Gladly Ring] End
I swear this group is getting better and better every day

My thoughts exactly. And they're doing it without typical band changes.

Larry's the man. Like just a few others in this music, he's singular in his uniqueness, all the while maintaining tradition. Never tried to sound like someone else, or cookie cutter another style. He's just Larry, and he has made an incredible contribution to bluegrass music since the mid to early 60's.

I got to see Larry for the first time at Blue Highway Fest 2024. He did not disappoint. It’s always a pleasure to experience a living legend in person. Hearing Tennessee 1949 and John Deere Tractor done live is WOW! ❤ He gave us all a sermonette at the end of his set. 😊

This song has always been grounding for me. I think it served the same purpose for Hank when he wrote it. It’s moving.

There's something intangible about Larry Sparks' voice that is soothing, country, gospel, old fashioned and pure. I can't put my finger on it, but he's a world class singer. Just NO ONE sounds like him. One of a kind. My dad loved his records back in the day....and I enjoy him too. What a voice...!

I agree. His singing voice just rolls back the years and brings a smile to your face. It’s haunting and soothing at the same time.
