Nice that’s exactly the type of place I’d like to try with my (new to me) 2019 Highlander. I’m currently looking at some lift kits (but it’s new to me I don’t know what the potential downsides may be). What trail is it you’re showing there ? Glad to see the Highlander can be good on such terrain. It may even take me a bit further away than my old Durango did. 🙂

This trail was in New Mexico! Using the All Trails app: Rio Puerco OHV LOOP. Requires this ground clearance. Get the 2” lift kit. Mines chewing through axles. I need to change it out to the 2”

@@bderkhanvlogs4715 thanks for replying I appreciate. My wife recently agreed on getting a lift kit installed. I’ll take care of it before our next road trip (so probably not before a few months). I’ll definitely plan going to that trail you showed in this video. If you have anything else like this to suggest, I’m all ears. Any other mods you recommend on that car ? (I’ll probably someday change the infotainment system and get one of these Chinese 10” tablets)

I want that infotainment system as well. Get the phone mount from Ali express that mounts behind the screen, it’s amazing. Also for that trip be very carful, there were a few close calls, be very careful going down some hills because they go straight down, so when you go up, MAKE SURE TO CHECK WHATS DOWN. The entrance to that place is the most difficult, otherwise there’s always another option to go around. Don’t risk it too hard.

What tire size did you run without trimming on the 3 in lift?
@bderkhanvlogs4715
@bderkhanvlogs4715 6 ай бұрын
In this video I had stock tires. 235/65-18 But without trimming wheel wells people have fit 265/65-18 Basically, you can easily fit any tires from 235/55-18 all the way up to 265/65-18. So 255/65-18 is a nice size too

how important is it to use a torque wrench for this? kinda on a budget and don’t own one
@bderkhanvlogs4715
@bderkhanvlogs4715 9 ай бұрын
Honestly, you can rent torque wrenches for free. But fr, don’t over tighten them. Just make them good. They’re pretty small bolts.

Nice Highlander, I wonder how much the HP (horsepower) is. I also wonder if it is manual or automatic, and also if it’s top speed is above / below average for this type of SUV. Really good vid btw.

Thanks for watching Ashar! 2021 Highlander V6 has around 300HP. Highlanders are only available with Automatic Transmissions. The top speed might be below the average highlander now that I lifted the car by 3inches.

@@bderkhanvlogs4715 Thanks that sounds great. I'm like you and probably one of the few people that will test the off-road capabilities of this thing instead of crawling malls. Have a 22' V6 with the torque vectoring setup so all I got to do is catch up to you with getting the lift and then I'm leaving the pavement.

Can you add catch can to a boosted engine?
@bderkhanvlogs4715
@bderkhanvlogs4715 Жыл бұрын
Yes you can! People do it a lot. Just make sure it’s direct injection otherwise there’s no reason to do it
@bderkhanvlogs4715
@bderkhanvlogs4715 Жыл бұрын
Do want to add - Pointed out by user /u/Techtoys79: These engines have Direct and Port Injection. So technically, these engines do not need an oil catch can. Also, you should reroute the hoses so they aren't against the wires so that they don't mess each other up due to vibration. I did reroute my hoses, I also think overtime, this catch can will still do good as the car won't need to clean out the valves. Only time will tell.
@jonathanrivera283
@jonathanrivera283 Жыл бұрын
Yes, they also need it because oil passes through the pcv to the intake and I have a 2019 camry v6 and a 2019 highlander xle v6 with the same engines and oil passes through the pcv and my camry I installed the catch can and I have collected oil that I try to enter the engine intake
