Thank you for these videos on the Halo collar! How long did it take to train your dogs on the beacon in the pantry? How often did you do training on the beacon? How long for each training session?
@Helpful911
@Helpful911 3 ай бұрын
Hi! 👋 the training that I did was all videotaped. So everything you saw minus a little bit of editing was the training I did. After I did the video I had almost 0 training with them. Mainly because if they experienced it outside of me being around them and watching them, they would get a beep and they knew I better get out of that area quick! I did not do much of the beacon training because they learned it pretty fast and I didn’t need to use the beacons. It was mainly the fence training. Thanks so much for asking the questions. Thanks for enjoying it also! Have a great day.

Would you still recommend the Halo 3? How long have you had it now?
@Helpful911
@Helpful911 5 ай бұрын
I would recommend it. Yes it is expensive but I think it’s worth it because we go to the lake a lot and we do not have a physical fence around the lake property. We also travel and do different things with our dogs. Before we had a really tough time constantly being stressed out because I was worried they were going to takeoff, or get in a fight with another dog or something. I really like the part that the collar tracks your dog and you can make multiple fences that are very easy and quick! I’ve had mine for almost a year. I’m excited to be able to use this camping and other places where they would always have to be on a chain or constantly watched. Thanks for asking! I hope this helps!

Hi! I am so glad you asked! I do think it is worth the money because of the peace of mind and the major part is being able to travel with it and set up your boundaries/fence wherever you go. I have not been able to find another Collar that does this and does it as well. I’m hoping overtime. The price will come down for all aspects of the collar and system. As of right now, I am happy with it. It just takes time for the dogs and the owners to get used to it. Kinda like anything else I guess. I’m going to do a follow up video and show how it works now and how the dogs use it. Thanks for asking! Hope this helps.

Thanks for reaching out! So go on your phone open up the Halo app. then go to my maps pick the collar that you want to turn up. which is the name of the dog for each collar or however you set it up for each collar, then, when that particular colors pulled up for instance, I chose Maggie‘s collar. It will pop up and then over to the side. It will show the volume button and then, turn it up that way. If they’re not responding, try a different tone or turn up the static. I tried to send you a picture but here on the comments it won’t let me do it. Let me know how that goes.

Thank you so much for that information! I’ve tried that several different times, and for some reason my collars do not shut off. I have two callers, and they both do that so they look like they’re shut off, but they’re not. You look at them every few seconds, and they will flash a light. I don’t know? But, I do know that I like it more and more as the days go by. It’s extremely helpful. Especially when I go to places that I need to have things blocked off for security reasons. ❤️

Thanks for an informative video demonstrating how you started with it and then letting us know how you’ve got on with it after a month. I’m thinking of purchasing the halo and am glad to see honest first hand reviews. I believe that the reason that the battery only lasts a day is because it sends info to the app so often (updating the dogs location etc)and is also used to receive info from the app like manual feedback. This is what eats up battery. I too have a e-collar which lasts for several days, but it doesn’t send location info to an app. It only receives signals from the handheld transmitter and if I have to use the transmitter frequently, the battery won’t last as long. The main concern I have is that my property is quite wooded and my fence would have to run right along the edge of the trees and go through the woods in some areas. I’m also in a very rural area and my cell coverage is spotty (although I only need cell to use the app apparently). One question I did have for you is whether you’ve had any problems with them wearing the collars in the house. Have you had any issues with false corrections? Or do you have to take the collar off indoors? Having to take it off when in the house would be a problem as other family members would not be consistent with putting it on and off. Any info on your own experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.
@Helpful911
@Helpful911 10 ай бұрын
I am sorry that I saw your second question before I saw your first question. And also to return your message but the holiday and the chaos really got to me so here I am. First off I totally agree with what you were saying about the battery. But wishful thinking is that the battery would last at least a day or two. But that’s the least of my concerns right now. As each day goes by I am more and more glad that I got the halo collar because I can track my dogs, I’ve become a lot more secure in knowing that I’m going to see if they are away from the road and my one neighbors house. So I also videotaped Thanksgiving and that will be coming out here shortly but I did a perimeter on my parents house to make sure they were away from certain building. So for your question, when the dogs come in the house from outside, I take the callers off. They don’t need them in my house so far. And if they did, I would use the beacon that comes with it to keep them away from certain parts of the house. If you needed to keep the callers on inside that’s not a problem and I have not had any false corrections since I did my first set up. I like to take the callers off inside because I believe that the collars transmissions to the satellite can’t be the best thing for them. Kind of like cell phones in your ear . They say that that causes cancer. I’ll try to do as much stuff as in the food and collars and other things that I can to keep them away from cancer or anything that’s going to make their life short. I hope this helps and if you have any more questions or ideas or thoughts, please feel free to message me. Thanks, Rachel.

Thank you so much for this informative video!!! It shows the amount of work involved with the collar and the trials and errors you’ve had. I have a stubborn, prey-driven Great Pyrenees mix that has a very gentle, kind spirit and I have been delaying getting any sort of shock collar because I don’t want to break his spirit. The Halo makes it sound as though you put the collar on and everything is great. Your video really helped me realize that there’s much more that goes into it!!! How has it been now that you’ve had some time with it?
@Helpful911
@Helpful911 11 ай бұрын
Thank you for your kind words! I know exactly how you feel about not wanting to wreck or hurt their spirit. Because some of those shot callers out there can! It is a lot of work, but it will be less work for you because you have one dog not two. But I think it’s worth it because as I go on, and on with this system, I like it more and more all the time! So for instance, on a invisible fence, I would never know if they came close to it , went across it, or it’s not working at all. But on this halo, it shows me when they get near it or that if they’ve crossed it and how many times and where exactly! I love that! It is going better and better every day. So Maggie I don’t even need to put a collar on her right now because she has a very soft spirit also and she doesn’t even go close to those areas so far and Kayle I put it on her and she has had warnings and I don’t know if it’s just because she’s chasing a rabbit or a gopher or that dog is barking over there, but she has gone past the fence and gotten a static it shows but it’s only been two times since training. So, if our neighbor says she has come over here and she has her collar on I will know that that is not true, because it shows me where exactly she’s been, and I know that that person is not telling the whole truth. Love it! Thanks again for your kind words and enjoying the video! If you have any questions in the future, please feel free to ask I’d love to help! Have a great day.
